Former President Donald Trump is going after Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce on Super Bowl Sunday — taking credit for making her “so much money” and insisting “there’s no way” she could endorse President Joe Biden.

In a post to Truth Social hours before kickoff of Super Bowl LVIII, the former president claimed legislation that he signed was beneficial to Swift and other artists, and said that she could not be “disloyal” to him as a result.

“I signed and was responsible for the Music Modernization Act for Taylor Swift and all other Musical Artists.” Trump wrote. “Joe Biden didn’t do anything for Taylor, and never will. There’s no way she could endorse Crooked Joe Biden, the worst and most corrupt President in the History of our Country, and be disloyal to the man who made her so much money. Besides that, I like her boyfriend, Travis, even though he may be a Liberal, and probably can’t stand me!”

Trump was referring to a bill he signed in 2018 — which made it easier for rights holders to be paid by streaming services for their songs. The legislation was celebrated by many in the industry.

Conservative media, in recent weeks, has been fixated on the idea of Swift endorsing Biden later in the campaign. In 2018, after she endorsed two Tennessee Democrats, Trump famously said he “likes Taylor’s music about 25 percent less now.”
