Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy took a swipe at BlazeTV’s Jason Whitlock — calling the commentator a troll with no morals.

On the Tuesday edition of The Dave Portnoy Show With Eddie & Co, Portnoy held nothing back when the conversation turned to Whitlock.

Last week, Whitlock uploaded a clip to Twitter from his show Fearless, talking about Portnoy and calling him “hostile to masculinity.”

“Dave Portnoy, El Presidente, is a fraud. He has no redeeming qualities other than his wealth. Remove his money, and he wouldn’t have a friend in this world. If we weren’t living in an era completely hostile to masculinity, Portnoy would be broke in Boston delivering pizza,” Whitlock said.

On Tuesday, Portnoy said, “Whitlock is so far below me. In every facet of life. It’s like who cares. I mean, he really is. I’m more successful. I’m smarter. I’m funnier. I make more money. I’m not fat. I mean, no offense.”

He added, “I just — what is the point of me even engaging? And he’s a troll… maybe the biggest ringing indictment of guys like him, like if I decided I wanted to have no morals like he does, and just try to build my career on inciting political people, I’d be the biggest thing of all time. It’s the easiest thing to do. He’s trying to do it. He’s just, so unfunny.”

“I actually disagree with that,” cohost Eddie Farrer said. “Cause I think you’ve done a better job just like coming together with people who are normal, where like, I think there’s a cap on the people who are just psycho and insane. Like you could definitely get big. You could get very big clearly.”

“No, you can be huge. You can go to the moon,” Portnoy added.

When asked who would be a great example of this type of success, Portnoy said Tucker Carlson.

“Do you think you’re bigger than Tucker?” Eddie asked.

“No,” Portnoy said.

CNN’s KFile revealed on Monday that Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Arizona Blake Masters has continued to edit his website to “remove language” supporting former President Donald Trump’s debunked claims that the 2020 presidential election was stolen.

Masters also reportedly removed from his website “a section arguing the country would be better off if Trump was still the president.”

The KFile report, written by Andrew Kaczynski and Em Steck, comes just days after NBC News first reported that Masters’s campaign website was scrubbed of the candidate’s pro-life positions including his support for “a federal personhood law” that “recognizes that unborn babies are human beings that may not be killed.” Such a law would effectively ban abortion nationwide.

KFile also reported that Masters’s website removed language that hinted at the so-called great replacement conspiracy theory, associated with the far-right and white nationalists:

A review of Masters’ website by CNN’s KFile showed he also removed controversial language saying Democrats were trying to “import” a new electorate — language that has drawn fire for mirroring far-right conspiracies that Democrats are trying to weaken the power of native-born Americans of European descent through mass immigration of non-White immigrants.

On the 2020 election, KFile notes Masters’s website in early August read, “We need to get serious about election integrity. The 2020 election was a rotten mess — if we had had a free and fair election, President Trump would be sitting in the Oval Office today and America would be so much better off.”

As of Monday, the website now only says, “We need to get serious about election integrity.”

On immigration, the website raged, “Joe Biden and Mark Kelly caused this crisis. They canceled the Border Wall construction. They invite illegals to come here and give them housing and cash. The Democrats dream of mass amnesty, because they want to import a new electorate.” KFile notes that the “last line” of that passage has since been deleted.

News of Masters’s website’s new softer tone, however, contradicted the candidate’s recent online activity.

On Monday, Masters blasted the Biden administration as the “affirmative action regime” – taking a jab at the diversity within Biden’s cabinet. Over the weekend, Masters offered a similar sentiment when he took a jab at what the Associated Press reported as unprecedented “female, Black, and gay” diversity at the Federal Reserve.

“Finally a compelling explanation for why our economy is doing so well,” tweeted Masters, mocking the AP and diversity at the Fed.

Mary McCord, a former top official at the Department of Justice working on National Security issues, joined CNN’s Brianna Keilar on Monday morning to discuss the national security implications of the top-secret material recovered from former President Donald Trump’s Florida estate.

The conversation ended with McCord offering a dire warning related to the rhetoric coming from Trump allies, arguing that people like Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) are “giving permission” for Trump supporters to commit acts of violence by warning of riots if the former president is indicted.

“Can you tell us a little bit about what this damage assessment is going to be looking for and how significant is this?” Keilar began after noting director of National Intelligence Avril Haines notified Congress such an assessment would take place.

“Sure. So the damage assessment will involve all of the intelligence agencies reviewing what has been retrieved from Mar-a-Lago to determine how sensitive are these documents, what are these about?” McCord responded.

“How dangerous would it be to national security if they fell in the hands of those who are not authorized to have them? They’ll also be looking at do we have confidential human sources who are in danger right now? Do we have intelligence collection methods that are in danger because they may be revealed to those foreign adversaries and others who should not know about them, which could mean we would need to change some of our intelligence collection practices,” she continued, concluding “the national security implications of what was found at Mar-a-Lago are very significant.”

As the interview wound down, Keilar asked McCord, “Senator Lindsey Graham said that there would be rioting. He’s raising the specter, that there could be violence if there are criminal charges against Trump. You know, he may be right, but I wonder what you think about him choosing to highlight that in a conservative media space.”

“I think it is incredibly irresponsible for an elected official to basically make sort of veiled threats of violence just if law enforcement and the Department of Justice and a grand jury does their job,” answered McCord. Keilar and McCord were referring to Graham telling Fox News host Trey Gowdy on Sunday that “there will be riots in the street” if Trump is indicted.

“And, you know, this is part of the same kind of game plan that Trump has had for years. The wink, wink, nod, nod. People are angry, they may be violent. And then what he knows and what Lindsey Graham also knows who is himself in the hot seat in the investigation of Georgia, is that people listen to that and people actually mobilize and do things,” she continued, adding:

January 6th was the result of this same kind of tactic by President Trump and his and his allies. And it’s irresponsible, it’s dangerous, it’s a threat to our democracy. And I think he should be ashamed of himself.

“You see that as a veiled threat is giving permission to people to perceive like that?” followed up Keilar.

“I see it as essentially saying a threat to Justice [DOJ]. Justice, ‘if you do if you do seek an indictment and a grand jury returns an indictment, there’s going to be violence. So you know what you need to do to avoid that,’” McCord responded, arguing Graham’s remark was aimed at the Justice Department.

New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu (R) proposed that the Libertarian Party be disbanded in his state over the insulting tweet they posted mocking Senator John McCain’s death.

Sununu tackled a broad list of topics during his Sunday interview with CNN’s Dana Bash, starting with his hypothesis that the FBI could be helping Democrats before the midterms with their search through Mar-a-Lago. Bash eventually asked Sununu for his thoughts on President Joe Biden saying MAGA Republicans believe in “semi-fascism” — and the governor called the remarks “horribly insulting,” as he joined those who accused the president of broadly smearing the Republican Party at large. As he urged Republicans and Democrats to stop using extremes to talk about their political foes, Sununu said Biden “owes an apology.”

“That’s not appropriate,” Sununu said. “That isn’t leadership.”

Before the interview wrapped up, Bash asked Sununu for his reaction to the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire’s broadly-condemned tweet in which they mocked Meghan McCain standing in tears over her father’s casket. The state party captioned the tweet with “Happy Holidays” as a way of marking the anniversary of Senator McCain’s death.

“That should pretty much be the end of the Libertarian Party in New Hampshire!” Sununu said. “I mean that! Again, horribly insulting! That is not leadership. That is not what people want to vote for. That’s not the type of sentiment people want in their civil service…The New Hampshire Libertarian Party and the president can join together and apologize for their insensitive comments.”

Meghan McCain took to Twitter later on to offer her gratitude to Sununu.

With the local crowd firmly behind the University of Michigan alum, Rose stepped up to the tee at the 17th hole at the Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club, took a big rip, and completely whiffed at the ball.

Then he did it again.

At that point, Jack Nicklaus could take no more. The golf legend was on hand for the festivities, and after five straight misses from Rose, decided to intervene and give the retired basketball great some pointers.

“You see this thing here?” Nicklaus told Rose — pointing to the club head. “That’s what you hit the ball with. Air does not move it.”

Rose, who was a truly fantastic sport throughout, doubled over in laughter. But the mock instruction actually helped. Rose tried one more time, and actually managed to make contact — hitting the ball on the ground approximately 10 yards, to the roar of the crowd.

The game truly is not as easy as Sir Charles makes it look.

Lawyers representing Hunter Biden tried to “infiltrate” the set of the movie My Son Hunter, which dives into Hunter Biden’s life and relationship to his father, President Joe Biden, director Robert Davi claimed in a new interview.

Speaking with Breitbart’s Peter Schweizer this week, Davi revealed the individuals posed as documentary filmmakers and made it onto the set of his film. The Die Hard star detailed the interactions further in a conversation with Mediaite.

“A month before I was there Hunter was in Serbia at Belgrade, a month before we started to film and also they sent a team of lawyers down that were saying they were doing a documentary, to infiltrate the set and we find out later on that they were sent down, that they were representing Hunter Biden,” Davi told Breitbart.

Speaking to Mediaite, Davi offered more details about this “documentary” crew.

“I had a funny feeling that they weren’t forthcoming,” Davi said, revealing later he realized the identity of “Hunter’s lawyers” when reports dropped about a $2 million tax bill of Biden’s being paid off.

The director said he spoke to this faux documentary crew briefly about his film, telling them he was not looking to “demonize” Hunter Biden. According to Davi, he did not want the movie to personally knock Biden or his addiction and he took inspiration from Biden’s own memoir Beautiful Things, as well as films like American Hustle to tell a “nuanced” character study about the president’s controversial son.

“Drug addiction is terrible. I’ve had family members that had drug addiction. I didn’t want to demonize that. At the base, it’s a father and son story,” Davi said of the upcoming movie.

My Son Hunter is being distributed by Breitbart and stars Laurence Fox as Hunter Biden and John James as the current president. Gina Carano also stars in the movie, which makes no apologies about accusing the president’s son of profiting off of his father’s political status. The trailer for the film, which drops on September 7, includes plenty of drug use, backroom dealing, and even a “corn pop” reference.

Justice correspondent for The Nation Elie Mystal asked on Saturday exactly what ex-president Donald Trump has to do to end up in jail after Friday’s release of the redacted affidavit that lead to the Mar-a-Lago raid search warrant.

Guest host Dr. Jason Johnson asked Mystal on MSNBC’s The Cross Connection what he thinks of Trump’s legal strategy following the “bombshell release” of the affidavit.

“I mean, I can’t believe they haven’t already just started shredding everything, right?” said Mystal to start.

He then offered his “top-level” summary question about the entire situation.

“Look, Jason, my top-level, expert legal analysis of the affidavit is: Why ain’t this dude in jail?” said Mystal. “Like, what does this man have to do to go to jail?”

He pointed out that in the extensive reporting and commentary on the 15 boxes of material one can miss the detail that this was evidence leading up to the raid, rather than a product of it.

“I think one of the things that’s gotten kind of, like, messed or missed in the media narrative, following for the last 24 hours, is that these 15 boxes that we’re focused on? That’s what they already found on the man. The man alr– president sticky-fingers already stole classified documents, top secret documents,” he said. “Dude had the ‘NOC list’ from Mission Impossible sitting in his basement! Right?”

“We know about these because that was the probable cause for them to go search for more stuff that he wouldn’t turn over,” he continued. “So the NOC list is what he was willing, after two years, to give back. We had to go raid him to get the stuff that he wasn’t willing to give back.”

“How is this man free?” he rhetorically objected again.

Mystal went on to say that “people need to stop be-clowning themselves by defending” Trump when there is “no legal defense” for it, and that he can be prosecuted on charges that carry penalties of up to ten years in prison.

It is common for both parties to disagree on many things during a divorce or separation. The disagreement could be about child custody, how to share properties, child support, and so on. The whole divorce process is usually overwhelming for both parents.

“Most times, parties going through a divorce or separation are preoccupied with other issues. Consequently, the well-being of their child may take a back seat,” says Tamar Begun. However, the court has a system that takes care of the child’s best interest during a divorce or separation. It is often achievable by appointing a Best Interest Attorney (BIA). 

What is a Best Interest Attorney (BIA)?

A Best Interest Attorney, formerly known as a Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) is a professional representative that the court appoints to protect the interests of children. The reason behind this is that they act not only as the voice of the children in court, but also in the children’s best interest.

BIAs serve as attorneys representing minor children’s best interests for the court in child custody cases, and they put on their own case to the judge on behalf of the children. They look into a court case and present the court with their findings and recommendations. The result of the investigation, report, and recommendations will all be in the child’s best interests.

BIA’s are always lawyers. These lawyers represent the children and not their parents before the court. 

When Does a Court Appoint a BIA, and Can Parents Ask For One?

The responsibility of a BIA is to provide an objective picture of the child’s best interest. Thus, the court often appoints a BIA in a case when:

1. There is child abuse or neglect
2. The parents disagree on what is best for their child or children
3. There are highly contested child custody disputes
4. There is substance abuse or abandonment  

On the other hand, parents can ask the court to appoint a BIA in their case. While a request can be made, the court has the final say on whether it is necessary or not.

However, when a case involves child abuse, several states require the automatic appointment of a Best Interest Attorney or Guardian Ad Litem. In regard to custody cases, courts will often appoint BIAs.

The Responsibilities of a Best Interest Attorney

State laws and court orders govern the responsibilities of a BIA. However, the duties of a BIA go beyond simply speaking for the child. A BIA can also help the court make an informed custody decision by doing the following:

#1. Interviewing the Child and Parents

A BIA can assist the court in determining what is in the best interests of the child by interviewing the child about topics like:

1. What the child thinks about the parents
2. The child-parent relationship
3. How the child lives 
4. How the child enjoys the environment
5. Who the child prefers to stay with

After interviewing the child, a BIA also interviews the parents. Through this interview, a BIA will get a clear picture of the relationship the child shares with the parents.

During the interview with the parents, a BIA may ask the parents to explain their relationship with their child. A BIA will also inquire about parenting style, how the child relates with the other parent, and the child’s daily activities.

#2. Interviewing Other Adults Who are Involved

Aside from interviewing the child and the parents, a BIA also has to interview other people connected to the child. These groups of people may include teachers, babysitters, pastors, and other extended families.

The reason for these additional interviews is that the individuals are close to the child and know a lot about them. Thus, their opinion of the child is vital to a BIA. Their viewpoints are essential in acquiring a thorough picture of how the child relates with the parents.

#3. Home Visits and Investigating Reported Cases

Most times, there are cases of neglect and child abuse. When any of this is the case, a BIA will have to pay a home visit and investigate the matter. However, during this home visit, observing the child in the family house as they go about their daily routine helps the BIA. The BIA uses this medium to create a recommendation for the court.

Observing the child is not the last step of this process.  A BIA must investigate the reported allegations by interviewing family members, consulting with police, and asking the child questions.

After a thorough investigation and analysis, a BIA will attempt to speak with the parents and their attorneys and try to resolve the case without a contested hearing.  If that is not possible the BIA will represent the children and put on a case in the best interests of the children. While a BIA recommendation does not determine the case outcome, it will be given considerable thought by the court.

What is the Duration of a BIA Involvement in My Case?

Some attorneys appointed on behalf of the minor children work on a case for a few weeks, while others work on it for months or even years. The function and involvement of a Best Interest Attorney in a case depends on the circumstances surrounding each family’s case.

You will work with the BIA throughout the investigation. Also, during the case, the BIA will be present at all court hearings. The BIA may also be obliged to monitor court cases for a reasonable time later to ensure that the parties follow the court orders.

Best Interest Attorney and Parties Restrictions

Depending on state law, the Best Interest Attorney or Guardian Ad Litem may have significant restrictions. An example is in a situation whereby a BIA  makes a recommendation that goes against the child’s expressed desires. Here, a BIA must inform the court of the child’s position.

The parties are not permitted to influence the child unfairly. There is also a ban on not manipulating the child’s behavior for personal gain or instructing him on what to tell the BIA.

Final Thought

Though the court has a system that ensures the child’s best interest is covered, parents should also consider their child’s welfare.  When it involves a Best Interest Attorney, both parents should comply with the attorney appointed for the minor child for the best interest of their child.

In a hypothetical 3-way matchup, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis handily beats former President Donald Trump with a key demographic — Trump voters — but loses to President Joe Biden with everyone else.

If DeSantis were to secure the Republican presidential nomination — a mighty big “if” — Trump would have to decide whether or not to run as an independent candidate.

That’s the scenario that was imagined in a new YouGov poll released this week that illustrates the dilemma facing Republicans in 2024.

Respondents were asked, “If the 2024 presidential election were held today between the following candidates, who would you vote for?”

Among registered voters, 44 percent responded “Joe Biden, the Democrat,” a full 21 points ahead of the runner-up, DeSantis — whose 23 percent support is a full five points higher than the 18 percent who said they’d vote for  “Donald Trump, running as an Independent.”

And in that same matchup, among Trump voters, 51 percent said they’d vote for DeSantis, with only 36 percent saying they would vote for Trump.

In head-to-head contests, things are much closer, but DeSantis still loses to Biden, and still runs stronger against the president than Trump does.

Among registered voters, Biden beats Trump 45% to 40%, while DeSantis trails Biden by three points, 43% to 40%.

Respondents to the poll were also asked, “If Donald Trump runs for president in 2024 but loses the Republican primary, would you want him to run as an Independent candidate in the general election?”

Among registered voters, an overwhelming 62 percent said “no,” and even among Trump voters, the “nos” outnumbered the “yeses” 46 % to 36%.

But even though DeSantis runs more strongly against Biden, he is still getting obliterated by Trump in Republican primary polls. In a new Politico/Morning Consult poll published Wednesday, Trump beat DeSantis by a whopping 39 points, 57 percent to 18  percent — with former Vice President Mike Pence a distant third with 8 percent.

Chris Cuomo defended his interview with convicted felon and former Trump campaign manager, Paul Manafort, on Tuesday after online critics took aim at the former CNN anchor for offering Manafort a platform.

Manafort spoke with Cuomo on his podcast, The Chris Cuomo Project, in a sweeping interview covering topics from Donald Trump’s potential 2024 presidential campaign to President Joe Biden signing the Inflation Reduction Act.

Cuomo replied to a Twitter comment slamming the interview, saying, “So you didn’t listen. Didnt watch. And already know what you think.”

“That’s why there is no progress. Change the game. Listen to who and what you oppose. You will sharpen your own arguments. Censoring is not the answer,” wrote Cuomo in a reply to a Twitter user who called the interview “Pathetic.”

Cuomo, who is attempting a comeback after being fired from CNN in December 2021, will join NewsNation in the fall as a prime-time host. Cuomo has made breaking through partisan barriers part of his comeback message, something he hit on while talking with Manafort.

In a clip promoting the interview, Cuomo asked Manafort, “You don’t see Trump is outside the realm of like, you really think he’s going to change things for the better systemically? We saw that when he was in office?”

“I think the policies of Trump during his presidency were good for this country. I think the economic strategy, all stratas of the economic cycle improved in this term. You know, we became energy independent,” Manafort responded.

“I mean, you know, the list, I don’t need to go through the list,” Manfort continued. “Yes,” interjected Cuomo.

“The point is that I believe Trump symbolizes something that if we destroy that symbol, we will, the American people will just fall back into accepting whatever,” Manafort added.

“That’s no good, because the real thing that came out of the Trump experience that I think has real value is our leaders have to remember who this country is,” jumped in Cuomo.

“And I know that there are a lot of people who will say, no, they voted for Trump. This is what they get. I think that people have to develop a nuance of understanding that the desperation is real,” he continued, offering a defense of Trump voters.

“White fright in certain manifestations is real. Whether it’s justified or not, it’s real. When people are afraid and they get desperate, they want help, and that you shouldn’t punish people for wanting help and being desperate. Manafort, who was pardoned by then-President Donald Trump after being convicted on a wide range of fraud and international conspiracy charges, also predicted Trump will run again.

Cuomo kicked off the interview by asking for Manafort’s analysis of Trump’s electoral calculus regarding 2024. Manafort argued that Trump is likely more emboldened than ever to run again after the FBI’s raid on Mar-a-Lago.

Umpires and referees are blamed all the time for wanting a team to win a game.

But blaming ESPN? That’s something you don’t see every day. And you especially don’t see a 12-year-old firing off such conspiracy theories.

During the sixth and final inning of Saturday’s Little League World Series elimination game between Iowa and Washington, Iowa pitcher Colin Townsend, 12, had just given up a walk where two runners were on the bases with the tying run coming up to bat. There were two outs with Iowa leading 6-3.

As Iowa Manager Dave McFate approached the mound to have a meeting with Townsend and the infield defenders, Townsend channeled his inner Donald Trump and blamed the home-plate umpire for working for ESPN, which “likes” comebacks, and therefore giving the previous batter a walk.

“This is for ESPN … It’s for ESPN so they can comeback (sic) … Because ESPN likes this,” said Townsend. “All ESPN.”

McFate dismissed the conspiracy theory.

“Nothing we can do about that strike call, okay? There’s two outs … We gotta shake that, we gotta shake that,” said McFate, who was micd-up.

The home-plate umpire approached the mound to tell McFate to wrap it up.

“Hey, focus right here. Focus right here on me,” said McFate as the umpire left the mound. “Shake it. Shake it, okay? We need one out … let’s go, you can do this. You can do this. You can do this.”

Townsend and his Iowa teammates went on to win the game, 6-3. Iowa won on Sunday against Utah, 10-2.

Joe Rogan spoke out about the investigation into Alec Baldwin’s deadly film shooting and the hypocrisy in Hollywood during a recent episode of his podcast.

Rogan, who was joined by fellow comedian Tim Dillon on the Friday edition of The Joe Rogan Experience, brought up Baldwin and the latest on the investigation into the deadly on-set shooting that took the life of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins last October.

Last week, the FBI released their findings that the gun, used by Baldwin during the accidental shooting, was in working condition and would not have fired unless the trigger was pulled.

This undermined an earlier claim Baldwin made to George Stephanopoulos: that he didn’t pull the trigger at all.

The investigation is still ongoing and no charges have been announced. During the podcast, Dillon incorrectly said the case had been ruled an accident and congratulated Baldwin.

“I thought they said that he had to have pulled the trigger?” Rogan asked.

“He did — accidentally,” Dillon replied, laughing.

“But he lied and he said he didn’t pull the trigger,” Rogan said.

Rogan began to explain that a close friend had shown him a similar gun to the one used by Baldwin and proved that the trigger needed to be pulled in order for the gun to discharge.

Dillon said, “Alec probably had the gun in his hand and it’s just kind of fun to pull the trigger. Right. I mean, if you have a gun, you go, like, ‘I wonder what this would feel like. I wonder what this would feel like.’ And then–”

“Isn’t it fucking wild that Hollywood in general is very anti-gun, but they promote guns more than any other media on the planet?” Rogan asked.

“All their best movies, whether it’s The Gray Man or whether you’re watching The Terminal List or Mission Impossible. It’s all — guns save the day. Guns kill aliens, guns kill werewolves, guns kill everyone. Everyone bad gets killed by guns. But guns are bad and you shouldn’t have guns, It’s crazy,” he added.

“These are also the same people that live in these 20,000 square foot homes and fly private jets, but talk endlessly about climate change. The same people,” Dillon replied.

“I get it, I get it. Because if they start paying you the kind of money they make to play, pretend they start paying you that kind of money to play dress up –$ 80 million a year, $40 million a year, you start to go crazy,” he added.

“You developed this cognitive dissonance where you see yourself as something completely different than what other people see and your behavior as something that’s completely different,” Dillon said. “So they don’t view that as hypocrisy. They view it as like, ‘Yeah, guns are bad, but we can make them good.'”

“That’s so crazy,” Rogan laughed.

“But that’s literally the way they think — guns are not good, but in our hands, they’re great because we can craft a narrative that makes them justified to have,” Dillon illustrated. “And that woman that lives in her house who protected herself against an intruder. Yeah. That’s not Mission Impossible. So that’s how crazy they are.”

“And it doesn’t seem odd if you think about what they do, they make fake things. So of course they’re fake,” Rogan concluded.
