Lawyers representing Hunter Biden tried to “infiltrate” the set of the movie My Son Hunter, which dives into Hunter Biden’s life and relationship to his father, President Joe Biden, director Robert Davi claimed in a new interview.

Speaking with Breitbart’s Peter Schweizer this week, Davi revealed the individuals posed as documentary filmmakers and made it onto the set of his film. The Die Hard star detailed the interactions further in a conversation with Mediaite.

“A month before I was there Hunter was in Serbia at Belgrade, a month before we started to film and also they sent a team of lawyers down that were saying they were doing a documentary, to infiltrate the set and we find out later on that they were sent down, that they were representing Hunter Biden,” Davi told Breitbart.

Speaking to Mediaite, Davi offered more details about this “documentary” crew.

“I had a funny feeling that they weren’t forthcoming,” Davi said, revealing later he realized the identity of “Hunter’s lawyers” when reports dropped about a $2 million tax bill of Biden’s being paid off.

The director said he spoke to this faux documentary crew briefly about his film, telling them he was not looking to “demonize” Hunter Biden. According to Davi, he did not want the movie to personally knock Biden or his addiction and he took inspiration from Biden’s own memoir Beautiful Things, as well as films like American Hustle to tell a “nuanced” character study about the president’s controversial son.

“Drug addiction is terrible. I’ve had family members that had drug addiction. I didn’t want to demonize that. At the base, it’s a father and son story,” Davi said of the upcoming movie.

My Son Hunter is being distributed by Breitbart and stars Laurence Fox as Hunter Biden and John James as the current president. Gina Carano also stars in the movie, which makes no apologies about accusing the president’s son of profiting off of his father’s political status. The trailer for the film, which drops on September 7, includes plenty of drug use, backroom dealing, and even a “corn pop” reference.
