CNN Catches Up With George Santos, Who Proudly Claims He’s a Hit On Cameo: ‘1,200 Videos to Date!’
Two months after his expulsion from Congress, George Santos checked in with CNN to provide an update on his legal situation, and his business endeavors.
In an interview on Inside Politics Sunday, CNN anchor Manu Raju asked Santos about the possibility he will take a plea deal on the 13-count federal indictment he’s facing.
“You’ve been in talks over a possible plea agreement and the federal indictment you’re facing,” Raju said. “Do you expect you will reach a plea deal that will keep you out of jail?”
Santos punted on the question.
“I can’t report to say yes or no,” Santos said. “It would be a) irresponsible and b) it would be ill-fated for me to talk about this at this time. But we’re definitely moving through the process, and this is part of the process.”
Raju then switched gears to the former congressman’s personalized videos on the Cameo platform — which, at one time, sold for $500 a pop but are now going for $350. Still, Santos suggested he’s still a smash.
“Of course you’ve gotten a lot of attention since you left by … customers paying for videos of you on Cameo,” Raju said. “And so we’ve been seeing a lot of you online.”
“Twelve hundred videos to date!” Santos claimed.
