Journalist Kara Swisher mercilessly mocked CNN’s Chris Wallace for his luddite ways by revealing he just recently traded in his iPhone 6.

To refresh your memory, the iPhone 6 was released in 2014 at a cost of $199. Apparently Wallace isn’t alone in cherishing his old phone since, “some are still using even older iPhones,” according to Apple.

The reveal came during Wallace’s “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” segment when Swisher brought up the retirement of Bart Andre, Apple’s longest-serving senior industrial designer.

“This week, someone retired, Bart Andre, who you don’t know about,” Swisher said. “You know, the designers of all your beautiful products that you have from Apple. Johnny Ive, obviously, is the most important one. But this was part of a team, and he is one of the final ones of that team who’ve designed all the beautiful things that we’ve been using all these years. And it’s a big moment — these industrial designers deserve lot of credit.”

Wallace jumped in, “The reason this is coming up here is because I have an iPhone 15, which I just got this week,” Wallace said, proudly displaying his new piece of tech. “And, tell them what I traded in.”

“An iPhone 6!” Swisher declared. “When you said that to me, I was like, who has an iPhone 6? I was like, did you drive your Big Wheel bicycle up to the Apple store?”

“When you told the panel here that I had an iPhone 6, they all kind of recoiled in horror,” Wallace said.

Swisher added, “Well, as they should! But this is a beautiful phone, and now you have spatial video —”

“And I can thank Bart for it,” Wallace concluded. “All right, gang, thank you all for being here. Thank you for spending part of your day with us, and we’ll see you right back here with the iPhone 15 next week.”

“Take a picture!” Swisher jibed.

“I don’t know how!” Wallace said at the last minute before the show ended.
