Dismissed Trump Juror Breaks Down ‘Odd’ and ‘Jarring’ Experience with Trump in Court

By News Here - 12:08

A dismissed Donald Trump juror spoke to reporters on Tuesday about the “odd” and “jarring” experience of being in a Manhattan courtroom with the former president.

Trump is facing more than 30 criminal charges stemming from an alleged hush money payment made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels to cover up an affair. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has charged the former president with falsifying records to hide the payment. Trump has denied any wrongdoing.

Trump entered his second day of trial on Tuesday as jury selection continued. He and his legal team have argued that a fair trial is near impossible to get in Manhattan.

Kara McGee spoke with MSNBC after being one of the first jurors dismissed from the potential pool. McGee said she answered that she could judge Trump impartially during the case during the 42-point questionnaire, but time constraints with her job in cybersecurity prevented her from being a juror.

“It was odd. It was such an interesting experience because I had never seen him in person before and you see someone blown up so larger than life on the media for so many years, to see them in person is very jarring. You get the sense that it’s like, oh, this is just another guy, and also he sees me talking about him, which is bizarre,” McGee told MSNBC’s Vaughn Hillyard.

Hilyard immediately asked if McGee made “eye contact” with the former president and she said she did before and after the questionnaire.

The dismissed juror said Trump looking at her made everything “feel more real in a way.”

“Whether it was Trump or it was some stranger off the street in Manhattan who I had never heard of before, if you commit to sitting on the jury, you can change that person’s life forever,” McGee said.
