Podcaster Joe Rogan lashed out bitterly at the “mainstream media” — exclaiming “You don’t give a fuck about the truth!” — over something ex-President Donald Trump admits he lied about: the value of his Mar-a-Lago resort and other assets.

Trump ranted to reporters Wednesday outside the courtroom where his fraud trial is taking place, and alternately admitted that the valuations he gave for borrowing purposes were not to be trusted (“I put it in financial statements with a disclaimer. In other words, don’t even bother reading them, to the banks. I borrowed money on leverage”), and that he also undervalued his assets on statements (“the statements were perfect. Not only perfect, the statements are much more conservative than my real net worth. My real net worth is much higher. Well, much higher than the statement”).

On Wednesday’s edition of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Rogan took great exception with the valuation of Mar-a-Lago — which was actually derived from a local government appraisal that Trump’s own real estate agent signed off on as recently as 2020 for tax purposes and was cited by Judge Arthur Engoron when he ruled that Trump and his company committed fraud.

But Rogan wasn’t talking about Trump when he said, “You don’t give a fuck about the truth”:

JOE ROGAN: Well, here’s the wildest one that’s going on right now. You know, the Mar-a-Lago controversy of the price pricing or the the.

CO-HOST: The inflated value of the house. Yeah.

JOE ROGAN: Mar-a-Lago– The judge ruled that it was worth $18 million. It’s 20 acres and like the most expensive real estate in that area, like a house down the street from it, much smaller. It’s just sold for $50 million. (Wow.) Even if Forbes said it’s worth somewhere between, I think, See, what Forbes said, I think they said it was worth between 300 and $700 million and they were saying that it’s worth $18 million. (laughter).

It’s like they don’t even try to pretend!

CO-HOST: Why does no one trust the mainstream–?

JOE ROGAN: This is how that’s worth $1,000,000,000, right? And then you come along and say, no no no it’s worth like 800 million. Forbes says it’s worth as much as $700 million. We, we’ll call it $700 million. Now you’ve got a reasonable argument.

CO-HOST: Yeah.

JOE ROGAN: But if you say $18 million like you got into, let’s say, a palace. The place is a palace. It’s 20 acres and the fuck out of here. This is great. You can’t do that. That’s, like, too obvious that you’re just. You don’t give a fuck about the truth.

CO-HOST: They don’t.

JOE ROGAN: You don’t give a fuck about the truth!
