Terrell Owens Reportedly Struck By Car Following an Argument During a Basketball Game
NFL legend Terrell Owens was intentionally struck by a car after getting into an argument during a pickup basketball game, TMZ reported Tuesday.
According to police, Owens played basketball near Calabasas, California on Monday evening. During the game, the 49-year-old reportedly got into an argument with another player on the court. It’s unknown what the two were arguing about.
After the game, the other man was apparently still upset as he actually got into his car and drove into him. The car struck Owens’ knee, but police said Owens did not require medical attention.
The man has not been arrested, though he could soon be charged with assault with a deadly weapon. Police said an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Aside from his unquestionable talent, Owens’ 15-year career was largely defined by off-the-field headlines. Since retiring in 2010, he’s still shown a habit of finding himself in the middle of unwanted attention.
In November 2022, Owens went viral after getting into a fight with a man outside a CVS pharmacy in Los Angeles. According to Owens, he was having a civil conversation with a fan when the man approached the two and began heckling them. The three exited the CVS when the man actually swung at Owens. In response, Owens punched him twice and sent him to the ground.
