Trump Slams SNL After Kavanaugh Sketch: ‘Just a Political Ad for the Dems’
Last night, Saturday Night Live took aim at Judge Brett Kavanaugh, mocking his love of beer, old calendars and college workouts, but President Donald Trump said he didn’t bother to watch.
Taking to Twitter Sunday, the Commander in chief bashed the sketch comedy show, noting that even though he hosted it in the past, it’s “no longer funny” with “no talent or charm.”
He then added that it was nothing more than “a political ad for the Dems,” praising one of his major fans, Kanye West, for donning a signature Make America Great Again hat following the show.
“He’s leading the charge!” Trump wrote.
Like many, I don’t watch Saturday Night Live (even though I past hosted it) – no longer funny, no talent or charm. It is just a political ad for the Dems. Word is that Kanye West, who put on a MAGA hat after the show (despite being told “no”), was great. He’s leading the charge!

SNL‘s latest cold open featured Matt Damon as Kavanaugh seated before the Senate Judiciary Committee guzzling water, sniffling and shouting defensively, “I’m not backing down…I don’t know the meaning of the word stop.”
While the comedic routine was clearly meant as a commentary on his emotional testimony Thursday, it doesn’t appear to have been well received by Trump.
