Fox News anchor Chris Wallace said that Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee have been declining his invitations for them to appear on his Sunday show.

“We reached out to all ten Senate Judiciary Committee Democrats to join us today,” Wallace said on Fox News Sunday. “And for the third week in a row, none of them accepted.”

The Senate Judiciary Committee voted on Friday to send Brett Kavanaugh‘s Supreme Court nomination to the floor for a full vote, after hearing from both the judge and Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who accused him of sexual assault.

That vote came after a dramatic last minute request from Republican Senator Jeff Flake, who asked that the FBI take a week to investigate Ford’s allegations. The FBI will investigate Ford’s claims as well as the allegations made by Debbie Ramirez, who claimed Kavanaugh thrust his genitals in her face at a party at Yale University.

Democrats celebrated the request from Flake, as it came after they had argued strenuously that an FBI investigation into the allegations would restore confidence in the process. Republicans were less pleased, though the request was approved.
