In response to Olympic gymnast Simone Biles recently taking a shot at her appearance, OutKick’s Riley Gaines returned fire with a jab at Biles’ height on Fox News.

Gaines on Wednesday appeared on Outnumbered to talk about her brief social media feud with the gymnast. The feud started when Biles called her out for criticizing the inclusion of a transgender softball player on a Minnesota high school team. In her first tweet to Gaines, Biles said, “Bully someone your own size, which would ironically be a male.”

During their back-and-forth on Twitter/X, Gaines called out Biles for “body shaming” while the gymnast was voicing her support for trans athletes. Biles later apologized for making the exchange “personal.”

While discussing the situation, Gaines made a remark about Biles’ relatively small stature:

“I think the thing a lot of people took issue with is, of course, the body shaming portion of this,” Gaines said, “where she’s referring to me as someone with a male stature. First of all, I’m 5’5. I wouldn’t say that’s overly tall for a woman — maybe compared to someone who’s 4’8, might seem like a giant — but to most women, that’s relatively standard. I’m about 130, 135 pounds — not overly big. Yes, I’m muscular. I think that’s part of being an athlete, and if anyone would understand that, you would imagine it would be Simone Biles.”
