CNN’s Jake Tapper reacted to President Donald Trump‘s insane press conference today by saying, “I think we can see why his aides don’t push him to do more solo press conferences like that.”

“It wasn’t the most coherent presidential address I ever heard,” Tapper told Wolf Blitzer. “He rambled quite a bit. He said a lot of things that were not true.”

He pointed to Trump’s false claim about how much of the women’s vote he won in 2016, as well as making false statements about the Kavanaugh hearing and the number of his own accusers.

Tapper noted that the reactions of Republicans like Jeff Flake, Susan Collins, and Lisa Murkowski will be important to watch in response, saying the President “did himself no favors when it came to the idea of supporting Kavanaugh.”

Tapper concluded, “He painted this picture of sexual assault as if it’s just a world full of women waiting to make false accusations against men and none of them are accurate, none of them are true.”
