Trey Yingst

Fox News

After nearly a year providing in-depth coverage of the Israel-Hamas War, Trey Yingst was promoted to chief foreign correspondent at Fox News.

In a press release from Fox on Tuesday, it was also announced that Yingst will publish a book about his experience covering the conflict that began with the October 7 Hamas terrorist attacks in Israel. Black Saturday, a “gripping, firsthand account” of those events, will be released by Fox News Books on October 1, 2024.

Yingst said in the release:

I’m honored by the incredible opportunities that FOX News has afforded me throughout my journalism career. Our team arrived in southern Israel on the morning of October 7th as the massacre was unfolding and Black Saturday plunges the reader into that day while exposing the realities of war told by Israelis and Palestinians. I plan to continue reporting on critical breaking news developments around the world and covering the human experience firsthand. I’m passionate about the work we do and look forward to many more years of traveling and reporting around the world.

Yingst posted a promo for Black Saturday on Twitter/X after the announcement:

FOX News Media CEO Suzanne Scott added:

During major breaking news in every corner of the world, Trey has been the eyes and ears on the ground for our viewers since 2018. Trey’s indefatigable work ethic and dedication in multiple war zones has made him an incredible asset to FOX News and we are extremely proud of his first-class journalism.
