A day after accusing Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) of elbowing him in the kidney, Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) appeared on Newsmax to share his version of the story before making some vague allegations about the former speaker.

Burchett was a guest on Newsmax TV’s Wake Up America with co-hosts Rob Finnerty and Sharla McBride, and after he recounted the alleged assault by McCarthy, he turned the line of questioning to what McCarthy could do next:

Finnerty: Congressman, does McCarthy still have his security detail? Because the last time I saw him, he’s still had a detail. So it’s a lot easier to elbow somebody when you’re going down the hall with a couple Secret Service agents.

Burchett: Yeah, it’s the classic boner. When you’re a kid, throwing a rock over the fence at somebody then running home behind your mama’s skirt. He also has $17 million in an account that he’ll be messing in a lot of people like mine and [Rep.] Nancy Mace’s campaigns, I’m sure.

Finnerty: I don’t know who does that with Nancy Mace. She could come back at him with some stuff that he doesn’t want out there in the public, I think, if you know what I’m saying.

Burchett: Yeah, she’s already told me. She said, “I hope he does that with me” and she’ll take care of him. She takes care of her own.

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) was one of the eight House Republicans, along with Burchett, who voted to oust McCarthy from his position as Speaker.

Despite his conspiratorial theories about McCarthy, Burchett said he “prayed for him this morning and I’ll continue to pray for him,” but also said his 16-year-old daughter could probably hit harder than McCarthy did.
