MSNBC’s Vaughn Hillyard Reports Trump Was Placed ‘In The Most Prominent Seat’ During Notre Dame Re-Opening With World Leaders
MSNBC correspondent Vaughn Hillyard reported that President-elect Donald Trump had “the most prominent seat” during the grand re-opening of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.
Trump joined political and religious leaders from around the globe for the re-opening of the cathedral that was damaged by a fire back in 2019. The president-elect was seated at the front row between French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron.
Trump was greeted by applause from a crowd of attendees that included major business leaders, such as ally Elon Musk, and other heads of state. Meanwhile, First Lady Jill Biden was seated next to France’s first lady.
Hillyard told anchor Yamiche Alcindor on Saturday while reporting on the event that Trump had the most prominent seat at the event grand event.
“I think that this is where when you are looking at some of these scenes here, I think it’s important to note, if I may, Yamiche, the seating arrangement. We were able to see a photo of the seating arrangement just before everybody started entering the cathedral,” Hillyard told Alcindor. “And President-Elect Trump is placed in the most prominent seat.”
