MSNBC anchors Andrea Mitchell and Chris Jansing couldn’t help but crack up reading the snarky responses Stormy Daniels offered to Donald Trump’s defense team in his Manhattan hush money trial.

Daniels took the stand for the second time on Thursday where she was cross-examined by Trump’s team and then the prosecution conducted a short redirect. Trump’s lawyer Susan Necheles asked Daniels about her background in adult films and used it to question her credibility.

Mitchell and Jansing laughed after bringing up the exchange and reading directly from a transcript of an exchange where Necheles asked Daniels about starring and directing pornographic films.

“You have a lot of experience making phony stories about sex?” the attorney asked.

“Wow. That’s not how I would put it,” said Daniels. “The sex in the films is very much real, just like what happened to me in that room.”

When Necheles accused her of fabricating her alleged sexual encounter with Trump in a hotel room, Daniels took another shot, which had Mitchell and Jansing laughing as Mitchell read it.

“If that story was untrue I would have written it to be a lot better,” Daniels said.

“She shows a lot of personality here,” Mitchell said in praise of Daniels.

Daniels was previously warned by Judge Juan Merchan about giving wordy responses that include unnecessary details.

Trump is facing more than 30 felony counts. He’s accused of falsifying business records to conceal hush money payments to Daniels to cover up an alleged affair. The former president denied knowing of hush money payments and has claimed the affair did not happen.

Jeremy Saland, a criminal defense attorney, also noted on Thursday during the discussion with Mitchell and Jansing that Daniels joked she’s not making her story about Trump up because “who would want to admit that they slept” with him.

“She has a sort of tone of credibility,” Saland said. “Again, you don’t want to necessarily like her as your neighbor, you may not want to date, she may not be your best friend, but that’s not what this is about.”
