Fox News drew the attention of CNN media reporter Brian Stelter on Saturday when it butted clips of House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) attacking the “hate America” No Kings rallies in with peaceful protesters waving American flags.

Stelter posted to X, “Fox News just did this, BTW. As people walked by waving American flags, a Fox reporter in Atlanta tossed to a clip of Johnson’s “hate America” venom, along with a Hakeem Jeffries sound bite, then back live to normal people protesting in a local park.”

Sure enough, Fox News reporter Madison Scarpino showed video of peaceful, smiling protesters at the rally in Atlanta, while saying “millions of Americans” were expected to come out across the country.

“Just here at the Atlanta rally, organizers expect up to 10,000 people. That’s checking out from what we are seeing so far. You see this sea of people holding signs, chanting, several speakers so far, and they are fired up,” Scarpino said.

She continued, “House Speaker Mike Johnson talked about this yesterday and said this,” before playing the clip of Johnson saying Friday, “We refer to it by its more accurate description, the ‘hate America’ rally. We’re going to bring together the marxists, the socialists, the antifa advocates, the anarchists, and the and pro-Hamas wing of the Democrat party.”

Scarpino then showed a live look at peaceful protesters mulling around New York City.

“You see a big crowd of people holding signs. They’re beginning to march also after having several guest speakers,” she said.

“And while many House Republicans are calling these ‘hate America’ rallies, Hakeem Jeffries calls it ‘patriotism,'” Scarpino said before playing a clip of Jeffries saying, “I support the right of every single American to participate in the rallies that will take place this week. And showing up to express dissent against an out of control administration, that’s as American as motherhood, baseball, and apple pie.”

Scarpino added, “We are going to be keeping an eye on all of these protests nationwide, looking out for any potential clashes as the governors of both Texas and Virginia say they have their state National Guard troops ready to go if needed.”
