CNN anchor Dana Bash and correspondent Jeff Zeleny roasted President Donald Trump’s complaint about a Time Magazine cover in the midst of a monumental peace deal and noted his history of displaying “fake” covers.

Trump bitterly complained about a cover photo celebrating his accomplishment after a Middle East swing to celebrate the Israel-Hamas deal, writing, “the picture may be the Worst of All Time. They ‘disappeared’ my hair, and then had something floating on top of my head that looked like a floating crown, but an extremely small one.”

On Tuesday’s edition of CNN’s Inside Politics, Bash and her panel agreed about the photo, but knocked Trump’s priorities and his numerous “fake” covers:

DANA BASH: Before we go to break, we have to show this time cover, because the cover of time is Donald Trump’s happy place.

I mean, the fact that he got this with that caption, his triumph. He’s not so happy about the picture. And he posted about it.

He said, “They disappeared my hair, then had some floating on top of my head, really weird. I never liked taking pictures from underneath angles.”.

Mr. President, nobody does. We’re with you on that. Super bad picture. He’s not wrong, it’s not the best picture in the world, despite the fact that this is what he dreams of and he actually creates Time magazine covers for his golf courses.

This is a real one.

JEFF ZELENY: This real one is almost certainly to be not hung in Mar-a-Lago or Bedminster, where some of those fake ones are.

But look, again showing that to the point earlier, if the president is going to suddenly change by this big success, of course he’s not.

At 79 years old, the Donald Trump is who we see is who he is, and he is as concerned about vanity as he is this really remarkable achievement, at least in phase one of this ceasefire.
