Former Trump White House advisor Steve Bannon told MSNBC’s Ari Melber and “all you hosts” and producers at the network that they had better “lawyer up” because Matt Gaetz’s Justice Department would soon be coming for them.

Bannon made the threat while gleefully addressing his War Room podcast audience on Wednesday after President-elect Donald Trump had officially nominated Rep. Gaetz (R-FL) to be his attorney general. Gaetz, who is facing an ethics probe in the House for allegedly having sex with a minor, immediately resigned his seat upon the announcement and amid speculation that the House Ethics report was about to be published.

“The American people weighed in measure and you were inundated for years. Weissman, you were on TV with MSNBC and all the producers, MSNBC. Preserve your documents. Ari Melber and all you hosts. Preserve your documents. All of it,” Bannon said, referring also to MSNBC legal analyst Andrew Weissmann.

“You better be worried. You better lawyer up. Some of you young producers, you better call mom and dad tonight. Mom and dad, ‘You know a good lawyer?’ Lawyer up. Lawyer up,” Bannon insisted, adding:

You try to destroy Trump. You try to imprison Trump, You try to break Trump. He’s not breakable. You couldn’t destroy him. And now he is turned on you. And he’s put a firebrand in charge of main justice. Department of Justice. And you’re going to have to live with it.

Andrew Weissman and all your McCabe and Comey. Oh, my Lord. You haven’t heard me. I’ve never. I’ve never complained about this. Never bitched and moaned about it. Just came with the territory. I understood they feared us. And why are they fear us? Because we were coming to take down the globalists and the deep state!

Bannon made headlines in December of 2023 when he and former Trump Pentagon official Kash Patel threatened MSNBC hosts with revenge in the form of “prosecutions and accountability.”

“ Do you feel highly confident that when you go back and, as a senior member of this administration, President Trump’s administration starting in the afternoon of the 20th of January of 2025, do you feel confident that you will be able to deliver the goods that we can have serious prosecutions and accountability?” Bannon said to Patel, adding:

And I want the Morning Joe producers that watch us and all the producers to watch us – this is just not rhetoric. We’re absolutely dead serious.

He later said that “the one thing we learned in the Trump administration, the first go around is we got to put in all American patriots top to bottom and we got them for law enforcement, we got them for intel collection, we got them for offensive operations, we got them for DOD, CIA, everywhere.”

“We will go out and find the conspirators, not just in government but in the media. Yes, we’re going to come after the people in the media who lied about American citizens, who helped Joe Biden rig presidential elections,” Bannon concluded.
