The View co-hosts Alyssa Farah Griffin and Sunny Hostin battled over over which party needs to do more reflecting in the aftermath of the 2024 election on Thursday, with Hostin accusing Latino men of being sexist and bizarrely suggesting that it is the GOP that needs to perform a “postmortem.”

Exit polling indicates that Latinos voted heavily for the GOP nominee in record numbers across the country. Griffin started her conversation with Hostin by observing that Democrats need to reevaluate how they talk to voters because the majority of working class people felt their lives “were better” under Trump.

Hostin responded by arguing that Republicans should do a “postmortem of the Republican Party” because the GOP is “morally bankrupt.”

“What about a postmortem on the Republican Party?” Hostin asked her fellow co-host. “They won but they’re morally bankrupt!” she exclaimed

Griffin then shifted the conversation by claiming that Latinos changed their votes this election because of the chaos at the southern border in recent years.

Hostin disagreed, instead submitting that it was “misogyny and sexism” that caused so many Latinos to flip from Biden to Trump in 2024.

GRIFFIN: And finally, we talk a lot about these different demographics and these assumptions of where they’re going to go. Latinos in Texas, a district that’s 97% Latino, went 75 percentage points for Donald Trump. Why? It’s on-

HOSTIN: Misogyny! It’s misogyny!

GRIFFIN: No! It’s on the border! The border crisis is on their doorstep! They were begging people to care about it for years.

HOSTIN: Misogyny and sexism — that’s what that was.

GRIFFIN: The lessons are not misogyny and sexism!
