‘THIEF!’ Trump Shares Alleged Adam Schiff Tax Document, Calls for Prosecution of ‘Fraud’

By News Here - 14:07

President Donald Trump went after California Democrat Sen. Adam Schiff on Sunday, attacking the former lead House impeachment manager as a “THIEF” and sharing an apparent tax document to make his case.

Trump’s accusations of fraud began with a Tuesday a Truth Social post, in which he accused “scam artist” Schiff of committing mortgage fraud and wrote that Fannie Mae’s Financial Crimes Division was after him.

“Adam Schiff said that his primary residence was in MARYLAND to get a cheaper mortgage and rip off America, when he must LIVE in CALIFORNIA because he was a Congressman from CALIFORNIA,” Trump wrote in the post. “The FRAUD began with the refinance of his Maryland property on February 6, 2009, and continued through multiple transactions until the Maryland property was correctly designated as a second home on October 13, 2020.”

Schiff responded in a post thread on X, calling Trump’s claims a “baseless attempt at political retribution” for the impeachments. Schiff said the “weak” and “false” allegation would not distract people from the president’s own ongoing Jeffrey Epstein files controversy.

On Sunday, Trump lit into Schiff again, this time including an image of a document dated November 4, 2011 that appears to be a signed declaration referring to the Maryland property as his “principal residence.”

“Adam Schiff is a THIEF!” Trump wrote.

Trump continued, writing: “He should be prosecuted, just like they tried to prosecute me, and everyone else — The only difference is, WE WERE TOTALLY INNOCENT, IT WAS ALL A GIANT HOAX!”

At the time of this post, Schiff has not responded to Trump’s latest post.
