Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH) raged at Democrats, claiming they want “lawlessness” and the destruction of the United States, following footage of a brutal brawl on the streets of Cincinnati going viral.

Jermaine Matthews, Montianez Merriweather, and Dekyra Vernon were all arrested and charged with felonious assault, assault, and aggravated rioting after videos went viral showing two people being beaten by a crowd in downtown Cincinnati. The videos show a man being stomped on by a group and a woman being knocked out cold.

The videos quickly made their way across social media as numerous conservative influencers claimed race was a motivating factor in the crimes, as the people being beaten in the video were white. It is not clear what started the brawl.

On Thursday’s Fox & Friends, Moreno joined Lawrence Jones as the FBI announced they are coordinating with Cincinnati Police on the case. Moreno posted images of one of the victims to his X account, identifying her as Holly.

“Senator, I believe that most citizens are good. You got people that act the fool. But most citizens want law and order in their town. So the funding, you’re correct. That is one element of this story. But what about conservative ideas that believe in law and order being brought to that city to actually win? Because the problem is Democrats are running these towns,” Jones told Moreno.

The senator raged at elected Democrats, claiming they want to “destroy America” with “lawlessness.”

Moreno said:

These elected leaders want destruction. They want less policing. They want a lawless society because they want to destroy America. I know it seems to some of your viewers that maybe that’s too hyperbolic. It’s not, Lawrence. They have a dark view of America.

Look, they honestly care more about foreign countries and foreign citizens and criminal aliens. I mean, the Democrats spend most of their time trying to jailbreak illegals from our detention centers or foreign prisons. Look, we have to be advocates for American citizens and we cannot allow our great cities to descend into chaos. That’s what they want. We won’t let them, Lawrence.
