President Donald Trump returned to the Daytona 500 Sunday to address the drivers — as his limo took laps around the track.

Speaking to the 41 competing drivers over the radio, Trump declared his admiration those behind the wheel — and offered his best wishes for those running in NASCAR’s signature race.

“This is your favorite president,” Trump said. “I’m a big fan. I’m a really big fan of you people. How you do this, I don’t know. But I just want you to be safe. You’re talented people, and you’re great people, and great Americans. Have a good day, and have a lot of fun, and I’ll see you later.”

Trump made a splashy arrival to what is known as the Great American Race for his first visit since 2020. Air Force One flew over Daytona International Speedway, as many race fans cheered on.

Prior to taking laps while pacing the field — which he also did in the moments before the 2020 race — Trump spoke briefly with Fox Sports trackside correspondent Jamie Little.

“Our country is doing well again,” Trump said. “And we have spirit all over the world, there’s spirit again. We brought it back. And it’s been less than four weeks. And you’ll see what we do in a little period of time. It will only get better. But this is very exciting.”
