‘Deep State Puppet!’ Elon Musk Leads an Online MAGA Uprising Against a GOP Senator Who Could Sink Tulsi Gabbard’s Confirmation

Elon Musk is going after a Republican Senator who could potentially end Tulsi Gabbard’s bid to be Director of National Intelligence.

In a post to X on Sunday, Musk raged at Sen. Todd Young (R-IN) — who grilled Gabbard on Thursday during her Senate confirmation hearing after she refused to call Edward Snowden a traitor.

“Todd Young is a deep state puppet,” Musk wrote.

The DOGE chief went on to amplify a statistic that Young voted for roughly two-thirds of former President Joe Biden’s nominees.

“Very weird,” Musk added.

Young is widely thought to be on the fence about Gabbard’s confirmation. Because he sits on the Senate Intelligence Committee, he alone could doom her bid to become the next DNI — if he refuses to vote her out of committee.

Other online conservatives and MAGA influencers likewise denounced Young and floated the prospect of a primary challenge against him in 2028 — in an apparent effort to pressure him to vote for Gabbard.
