Longtime Democratic strategist James Carville roasted Nikki Haley as “spineless” and “gutless” for backing Donald Trump against Kamala Harris.

In recent days, Liz and Dick Cheney both announced their endorsement of the vice president while bashing Trump and his running mate JD Vance as threats to Democracy. But Haley, in a Sunday morning interview on CBS’ Face the Nation, reiterated her support for Trump and declared herself willing to campaign for the former president.

Carville joined MSNBC host Jen Psaki for an interview on Sunday where he lauded both Dick and Liz Cheney for their endorsements. He then slammed Haley for not taking the same stand against Trump.

CARVILLE: I saw Nikki Haley on another network this morning. Oh my God! And she was talking about how much she loved Taiwan and someone pointed out Trump, said, I don’t care about Taiwan, it’s 65 miles away. Let China do what it wants. And then she started talking about Afghanistan.  Does that woman have any courage at all?! Because if she does, it’s not particularly evident to anybody.

PSAKI: No, she’s not delivered on the courage quotient over the last couple months.

CARVILLE:  I don’t know if she’s more spineless than gutless, but one of the two certainly apply to her!
