Tough week for Skip Bayless and his friend count. Days after Kevin Durant declared he doesn’t like Bayless, Charles Barkley stepped out to express his hatred for the Fox Sports host.

“Everybody knows I hate Skip Bayless,” Barkley ranted Thursday afternoon on Pat McAfee’s SiriusXM Radio show. “Because I think he’s the king of, ‘I’m just gonna say sh*t so people will go crazy on me.'”

Bayless is the ultimate provocateur in sports media, as proven by his ability to trigger Kevin Durant with a compliment this week. But the Fox Sports host also frequently draws the ire of Barkley.

Earlier this year, Barkley blasted Bayless on TNT, claiming he’ll put the Fox Sports host in a “body cast” if the two ever get in a room alone together. The empty threat continued 15 years of a mostly one-sided public feud between the two, with Barkley telling The Washington Post he’d like to “kill” Bayless all the way back in 2005.

On Thursday, Barkley’s hatred of Bayless was triggered as he ranted about TV and radio personalities who “don’t have any talent,” but seek to create clickbait content. Barkley creates more clickbait content than any other NBA analyst, but his comments usually come across as genuine opinions and not prefabricated hot takes.

“There are zero consequences,” Barkley complained about Bayless. “He’ll miss nine out of ten games and then he’ll brag about the one upset he got right out of those ten games…I hate guys who do that on television…they’re wrong all the time.”
