The gunman who opened fire inside at the headquarters of the Capital Gazette newspaper in Annapolis, Maryland on Thursday has been identified as 38-year-old Jarrod Ramos, a white male who is a resident of Maryland, according to MSNBC.

The Daily Beast also reported the name, citing the MSNBC report.
CBS and CNN also confirmed.
CBS News can confirm that 38-year-old Jarrod W. Ramos of Laurel, Maryland, is being questioned as the suspect in the Capital Gazette shooting.

The shooter, armed with a shotgun, shot through a glass door at the Maryland newspaper’s headquarters, before opening fire on staffers. Five were killed and several more were wounded in the shooting.
The victims were rushed to Johns Hopkins medical center.
Ramos was apprehended by police on the scene.
The Capital Gazette, one of the country’s oldest newspapers, is owned by the Baltimore Sun.
