Diamond & Silk Rail Against Prankster Who Managed to Call Trump: ‘Should Be Against the Law’
Internet Trumpians Diamond and Silk railed against a prankster who tried to place a phone call to President Donald Trump and actually got through.
Earlier today, the host of “The Stuttering John” podcast and Howard Stern alum, John Melendez, released a phone call he had with Trump while he was aboard Air Force One.
And he apparently pulled it off with a bad accent and pretending to be Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.).
Trump never caught on.
Referring to the phone call on Twitter, Diamond and Silk offered up a unique solution to the problem.
They decided that it should be a crime for a comedian to pretend to be a public official.
“It should be against the law for a comedian to impersonate a government official,” the duo wrote.

Their plan, which would ostensibly outlaw Saturday Night Live and other such shows, did not go over well on the internet.

So, taking to Twitter again Friday night, they decided to explain what they meant.
“Let us be clear, so you won’t get it twisted,” they clarified. “Pranking The White House to send a call through to Air Force One to speak to the POTUS while pretending to be a government official should be against the law. The comedian that did this was wrong and should not get a pass!
