Kayleigh McEnany Opens New Show With ‘New Video’ of Charlie Kirk’s Alleged Killer — From 2022 Traffic Stop
Kayleigh McEnany opened her new show on Fox News, called Saturday in America, with “new video” of Charlie Kirk’s alleged killer, Tyler Robinson.
The police bodycam video was from a 2022 traffic stop, but McEnany touted it as “one of the very first times we have heard the voice of the alleged assassin.”
Robinson appeared cooperative throughout the interaction with the officer after apparently hitting another car.
OFFICER: Who’s the driver? You the driver?
ROBINSON: I am.
OFFICER: Can you tell me really quick what happened?
ROBINSON: I was coming this way, and he was passing through and he pulled out from here — or, no, from there, I think?
OFFICER: Do you remember which lane you were in?
ROBINSON: I was in one of those two lanes going this way, I’m thinking the right — yeah, in the rightmost lane coming in this way. And he would have been there going left. And as I was coming through, he turned in, and I T-boned him in the side.
OFFICER: Okay. Do you remember looking at the light?
ROBINSON: Yeah. It was, it just turned yellow as I was getting into the intersection.
McEnany didn’t say whether Robinson was charged in the incident.
“Three years later, the alleged assassin would go on to take the life of Charlie Kirk,” McEnany said, “and that video comes after prosecutors revealed a chilling text exchange between Robinson and his roommate, where he clearly articulates his motive.”
She continued, “Look at this closely. His roommate asks him, ‘Why?’ to which Tyler responds, ‘Why did I do it?’ The roommate say, ‘Yeah.’ Tyler replies, ‘I had enough of his hatred. Some hatred cannot be negotiated out.’ Despite the facts that we just showed you, an articulated motive in a text message, the media continually denies it.”
The 22-year-old Robinson was charged this week with aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm, two counts of obstruction of justice, two counts of witness tampering, and committing a violent offense in the presence of a child. The prosecutor is seeking the death penalty.
Robinson has not yet entered a plea.
