Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) shared a dancing Winnie the Pooh meme on social media as he celebrated an Israeli strike on Hamas militants in Qatar’s capital city on Tuesday.

Replying to an Associated Press story about the assault in Doha on X, Fetterman posted an animated GIF of the popular cartoon bear shimmying back and forth as he prepares to dine on “Hero Hunny.”

Fetterman has been extremely vocal about his views on the Israel-Hamas war, which has led to a major rift within his own party.

In June, he encouraged Israel to “keep wiping out” Iranian scientists and military officials following the country’s bombing of Iran.

“Our commitment to Israel must be absolute and I fully support this attack,” he posted on X. “Keep wiping out Iranian leadership and the nuclear personnel. We must provide whatever is necessary—military, intelligence, weaponry—to fully back Israel in striking Iran.”

The Israeli offensive against Hamas’ headquarters in Doha on Tuesday was believed to be an assassination attempt on senior Hamas officials.

The Israel Defense Forces said in a statement that it had targeted Hamas’ “senior leadership” with a “precise strike.”

“For years, these members of the Hamas leadership have led the terrorist organization’s operations, are directly responsible for the brutal October 7th massacre, and have been orchestrating and managing the war against the State of Israel,” read the statement.

President Donald Trump reportedly gave Israel the green light to launch the strike.
