The Internet Is Dean Cain’s Kryptonite as Ex-Superman Star Is Ridiculed Over ICE Training Video
Move over Lex Luthor — the social media trolls are having their way with the Man of Steel.
Dean Cain has been subjected to internet-wide mockery after a Fox News segment showed the former Superman star appearing to struggle through an obstacle course at an ICE training facility in Georgia last week.
The actor has been widely mocked since he announced earlier this month that he was joining Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after the agency kicked off a massive hiring push.
“I’m actually… a sworn deputy sheriff and a reserve police officer,” Cain told Fox News at the time, referencing his status as a law enforcement official in Idaho. “So now I’ve spoken with some officials over at ICE and I will be sworn in as an ICE agent ASAP.”
Since then, he’s been insulted and mocked by countless left-leaning figures, including Last Week Tonight host John Oliver and Encanto star John Leguizamo, who said Cain’s pronouns are “has, been.”
