Fox News host Jesse Watters attacked the media for supposedly “hoping” President Donald Trump’s  son “gets raped.”

“You guys [the media] have been saying the president is a mentally ill, racist Nazi, Russian traitor who needs to be frog marched out of the White House, calling his daughter the C word and hoping his son gets raped,” Watters said on today’s airing of The Five. “And now you are mad because he calls you––fake news is the enemy of the American people? You guys can dish it out but you can’t take it.”

Watters may be referencing actor Peter Fonda’s now-deleted tweet in which he said, “We should rip Barron Trump from his mother’s arms and put him in a cage with pedophiles and see if mother will will stand up against the giant a–hole she is married to. 90 million people in the streets on the same weekend in the country.” Fonda deleted the tweet and apologized for his comments.

So while Fonda may have made the comment, no member of the news media did, even though Watters used the comment to justify Trump’s attacks on journalists.

“[The media] don’t want to talk about it because they are guilty of collusion with the Democratic Party. Remember what happened with the access Hollywood tape. They had trump on camera for 10 years saying what he said and dropped it three weeks before the general election — very suspicious timing,” Watters said earlier in the segment. “They also spiked the Ronan Farrow expose on Harvey Weinstein because the parent company had a business relationship with Weinstein’s studio.”

He added that “the media telling you to tone down the rhetoric” is “like an alcoholic telling to you stop drinking.”

“It’s like, no, you are the drunk,” Watters said. “You’re the drunk.”
