The Democratic primary debate between Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) and Cynthia Nixon was taped earlier Wednesday for air during the evening. And based on one of the preview clips, it looks like it will be messy.
During a clash over the New York City subway system — which has been a major part of the former Sex and the City star’s platform — Nixon interjected as Cuomo tried to pin the blame for the system’s struggles on New York City leadership.
“The [Metropolitan Transportation Authority] has been under state control since 1965,” Nixon said.
“Can you stop interrupting?!” Cuomo said.
“Can you stop lying?!” Nixon shot back.
“As soon as you do,” Cuomo retorted.
Wow. Looks like this one will be a civil, substantive debate on the issues dumpster fire.
