My friend Sara tells this story about a road trip with her dog Dakota where somewhere during a 14-hour drive her Husky-mix got car sick and vomited all over the back of the car. Then, embarrassed by the vomit, managed to pee all over the back of the vehicle as well. Her car was never the same.

Howard Kurtz: It’s ‘Reprehensible’ For Media To Blame Trump For Annapolis Shooting, ‘Blood Libel’
Fox News media analyst Howard Kurtz slammed those in the media who attempted to tie President Donald Trump to the shooting that took place at the Capital Gazette in Annapolis this week.
Laura Ingraham began the segment by comparing the blame game to the 2011 assassination attempt on Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, which the New York Times suggested Sarah Palin incited such violence.
The Federalist’s Mollie Hemmingway called it “alarming” that the media continued to push the “false narrative” that Trump’s animus towards the press led to the shooting despite it being revealed that the shooter had a vendetta against the local paper.
However, Kurtz held nothing back.
“This is reprehensible. It’s guilt by association and it’s being spread by journalists who want to blame Donald Trump for everything, including rain storms and rush hour traffic,” Kurtz told Ingraham. “Now, I don’t agree that the president should be calling the press ‘the enemy of the people.’ But Laura, it is an absurd stretch to go from that to this ‘blood on his hands’ claim, which is a blood libel.”
Kurtz went on to criticize both the right and the left for trying to “score partisan points” after mass shootings and how they’re also being “weaponized” against Trump.
“Here’s what’s really sad, Laura. Five people who came to work everyday in Annapolis to try to serve their community, taking risks as journalists because you write things that make people angry, they’re dead. And that’s being overshadowed by this all of this overheated political rhetoric. And the attempt to tie President Trump, whether you like his rhetoric or not, to this bloodshed is really sad.”

Prankster Who Called Trump on Air Force One Live-Tweets as He Claims ‘Secret Service’ Were at His Door
Prankster/Comedian John Melendez may have to make a run for it after pranking the White House staff into speaking with President Donald Trump.
Melendez defied the odds this week by posing as Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) and after nearly twenty minutes, he managed to get a hold of the Commander in Chief from Air Force One.
However, the fun and games may be over as “Stuttering John” claimed on Twitter late Friday night that the Secret Service were at his door.
Secret Service at my door. I guess my old friend Donald wants to continue this. Stay tuned.

Bill O’Reilly, Glenn Beck Applaud Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: ‘Seems to Care More About People Than Power’
It appears that strange bedfellows emerge on Twitter on Friday nights.
After the shocking victory of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in the New York District 14 primary against longtime top Democrat Rep. Joe Crowley, Bill O’Reilly took to Twitter earlier in the day and defended the candidate from the being “derided” by Republicans.
I have heard some Republicans deride Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and I think that’s a mistake. She won by outworking long time Democratic Congressman Joseph Crowley and seems to care more about people than power. A good thing for any politician.
Socialism never works. Ask Venezuela

“I have heard some Republicans deride Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and I think that’s a mistake,” O’Reilly tweeted. “She won by outworking long time Democratic Congressman Joseph Crowley and seems to care more about people than power. A good thing for any politician.”
Glenn Beck “totally” agreed with O’Reilly.
I totally agree with @BillOReilly. @Ocasio2018 seems genuine and honestly trying to do what she believes is right. I completely disagree with her solutions, but she is listening to her community. I would rather debate an open socialist than those who hide what they believe. https://t.co/kOVVGBvqJK

Beck’s tweet caught the attention of the candidate herself.
Thank you, @glennbeck. We may disagree, but I sincerely appreciate the good faith.

Jennifer Rubin Calls For LL Bean/Alaska Cruises Boycotts to Stop Collins/Murkowski From Confirming SCOTUS Pick
Jennifer Rubin offered her suggestion to prevent the confirmation President Donald Trump‘s Supreme Court nominee.
After Michael Moore declared that he was going to stand outside the U.S. Capitol with a “million other people” to physically prevent the confirmation vote from happening in the Senate, Rubin urged him to think “smart.”
“Instead of circling the capitol with a million people, take the million people to Maine and go to L.L. Bean and tell them in Maine, ‘You need to leave Maine’ unless Susan Collins votes the right way,” Rubin said. “That’s how you play hardball. You do it smart. You go to Alaska, you say, ‘You know what, we’re gonna start boycotting Alaskan cruises until your senator votes Trump’s way.”
The self-described “conservative blogger” from The Washington Post insisted such tactics are how you would prevent Trump’s conservative nominee from being confirmed, but Moore still believed that we’re “going to get to the point” when they’re going to have to “circle Washington.”
“I’m sorry to say it, we could stop that now if we all rise up now,” Moore said. “I’m telling you, I’m not- I’m sorry, Bill. I’m not gonna participate in providing hope for people. That implies there’s no sense of urgency. This is now about somewhere over the rainbow, optimism is very dangerous, it’s not about warm and fuzzy now, this is about all of us coming together to stop this madness and stop it now. And I don’t want this interview to be replayed five years from now on Season Seven of The Handmaid’s Tale.”

Ingraham to Kellyanne Conway: Is Trump ‘Reconsidering’ His Hostile Rhetoric Towards The Press After Annapolis?
On Friday, Laura Ingraham spoke with White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway about the recent shooting that took place at the Capital Gazette in Annapolis, Maryland.
“The president has obviously had a difficult relationship with the press. The press has been wildly unfair to this administration on issue after issue. Yet the language the president used against the press led a lot of people in the press to say ‘Look, this didn’t cause what happened, but deranged people can get triggered by this type of constant drum beat, ‘they’re the enemy of the state,’ and et cetera, et cetera, ‘the worst problem the country has,'” Ingraham told Conway. “Is the president reconsidering some of that language in light of what happened yesterday?”
Well, let’s just say Conway didn’t exactly answer the question. Like, at all.
“Well, the president did one of the things he does best today, Laura, at his Tax Cuts and Jobs Act six-month anniversary, he paused at the very beginning to express sympathy and grief for the victims and their families and outrage over what happened,” Conway responded. “And when you read a lot of the print coverage I’ve read today, it’s very clear that people at the paper said it’s this person, the shooter comes in here, call 9-1-1. The former editor said that he never met anybody so angry as a journalist in all his life. So they knew this guy was bad news for them. He sued them unsuccessfully many years ago and went back yesterday to commit the ultimate act of violence.”
“Look, I’m somebody who’s called for tamping down the rhetoric for a very long time,” Conway continued. “But those who call for it sometimes, if you listen carefully, if you look into social media feeds, they give license sometimes to something that’s hotter than covering the next story or reporting the ‘facts.’ But this president, as he has wanted to do, calls out violence and evil for what it is, including in what happened to those five innocent Americans yesterday.”

Ben Shapiro Battles Maher Over The Russia Probe: Trump Couldn’t Even ‘Collude With His Own Left Foot’
Ben Shapiro and Bill Maher had a fiery debate about President Donald Trump, Russia, and the Mueller investigation.
After Maher accused the president of wanting to “make Russia great again” by working with Vladimir Putin,” Shapiro pushed back by comparing this administration’s treatment of Russia versus the previous one.
“He’s been a lot harsher on Putin than Obama was by the way,” Shapiro told Maher. “Not in terms of his rhetoric, in terms of his actions. He’s armed the people of Ukraine with deadly weaponry, which Obama would not do. 200 Russian soldiers were killed in Syria by U.S. forces under Donald Trump, not under Barack Obama. Because it was Barack Obama who said to Dmitry Medvedev aying that he wanted to provide Putin with flexibility in 2012. Crimea was annexed under Barack Obama.”
“Wow, this reminds me of when people hit ya just to come on the show and try to convince me that Saddam Hussein, you know, a radical Islamist, when he was actually a secularist,” Maher responded. “You’d have to go a long way to make that argument.”
“Not on policy,” Shapiro stressed.
Maher then blasted Trump for “defending” Putin, which Shapiro agreed was “crappy stuff,” and invoked the 19 Russians that were indicted by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
“I have a question; do you actually think that Donald Trump colluded with Vladimir Putin?” Shapiro asked.
“Yes!” Maher exclaimed. “You don’t?!? How could you not?”
“I do not because I watched that campaign. I don’t think that Donald Trump could collude with his own left foot,” Shapiro quipped.
“Well, I don’t think he did it,” Maher clarified. “But, you know, his son did it. The people who has indicted-”
“And when the evidence comes out, I’m happy to go with the indictments. I’m fine with the indictments. Criminal activity is criminal activity,” Shapiro continued. “But I’m not going to contribute something to Trump when he’s too ignorant to have done it.”
“Well, he’s not too ignorant to be a criminal, Ben,” Maher retorted. “He’s been a criminal his whole life.”
“I don’t know how I became the Trump defender here, but is he a doofus or an evil genius?” Shapiro followed. “You gotta pick one.”

Michael Moore: I Will ‘Surround The U.S. Capitol’ With ‘a Million Other People’ to Stop Trump’s SCOTUS Confirmation
Michael Moore appeared on Real Time with Bill Maher and urged fellow liberals not to give up hope on the inevitable confirmation of President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee.
Bill Maher began by asking Moore about the “Hail Mary” plan he supposedly had to prevent the replacement of Justice Anthony Kennedy.
“Listen, the Senate right now is 50-49. Sadly, McCain will not be able to vote, so it’s a 50-49 vote,” Moore declared. “C’mon! We’ve got to push it off til after November.”
“And I don’t trust every Democrat,” Maher told Moore.
“We’ve got to hold the Democratic seats we have, but look, 90% of incumbents are always returned,” Moore continued. “The Democrats in Montana and North Dakota, West Virginia, they’ve got to do their job, they’ll do their job. Our job is to win Nevada, Arizona, and Tennessee and they could all be won!”
Maher pushed back, insisting the confirmation will take place before the midterms in 2018, but the documentary filmmaker stressed that they need to “find ways” to prevent that.
“‘Find ways?’ What does that mean?” Maher asked.
“I’ll join a million other people surrounding the United States Capitol,” Moore responded. “I will stand there. I will put my- Bill, let me tell you something. If this judge goes through, for at least the rest of our lives, it’s a right wing court. That’s it. It’s over.”

Ben Shapiro Debates Maher on Incivility: It’s a Problem on The Left Too, ‘I Needed 600 Officers at Berkeley!’
On Friday night, Bill Maher faced off for the time against conservative commentator Ben Shapiro and had a heated discussion about civility (or lack there of) in America.
Maher began by asking Shapiro what he liked about the Trump presidency, which he cited things like the tax cuts and the Supreme Court nominees, but when asked what it would take for him to vote for a Democrat, Shapiro said he would if they would “stop being insane.”
“They would actually have to approach something like moderation in terms of policy,” Shapiro elaborated, “and also present a face that doesn’t look like people shouting down people at gas stations or entering restaurants and throwing them out.”
“Well if you’re talking about the civility thing, why don’t we start with the Republicans stop saying ‘Lock Her Up’?” Maher shot back. “Shouldn’t the civility argument start there before we care about who gets their entree?”
Shapiro then accused the left of caring about incivility “when it comes to Donald Trump” but not for someone like Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA).
“Because Ben, you can’t walk into a room and see an elephant and a mouse and not know which one is bigger,” Maher responded.
“But it’s not an elephant and a mouse, it’s two elephants,” Shapiro said. “I needed 600 officers to protect me at Berkeley! Yes, it is an elephant and an elephant.”
Shapiro went on to cite Vice President Joe Biden when he accused then-presidential candidate Mitt Romney of “putting y’all back in chains” if elected.
“This stuff pre-existed Donald Trump,” Shapiro continued. “It came from the vice president when he was saying that Mitt Romney, the cleanest person ever, okay, was the guy who was gonna ‘put y’all back in chains.’ To pretend incivility started with Donald Trump-”
“I’m not talking bout incivility,” Maher interrupted. “I’m talking about the level of which it’s at,” something Shapiro agreed with.

CNN’s John Berman Casts Doubt on Trump’s Media Praise: ‘Over and Over He has Attacked the Free Press’
On Friday, CNN’s John Berman responded to President Donald Trump‘s claims that journalists should be free “from the fear of being violently attacked” by rolling a montage of Trump’s repeated verbal attacks on the media.
During a public event at the White House held just one day after the Capital Gazette shooting, Trump said this: “Journalists, like all Americans, should be free from the fear of being violently attacked while doing their jobs. To the families of the victims there are no words to express our sorrow for your loss. Horrible, horrible event. Horrible thing happened.”
Trump’s comments did not sit well with many in the media, some which pointed out that as POTUS, Trump has gone as far as to call the press the “enemy of the people.”
On the air Friday night, Berman also noted that Trump was attacking the press as late as this week before airing footage of him blasting the media at a rally.
The CNN host then said, “We’re not suggesting the president isn’t sincere when he says journalists shouldn’t be violently attacked while during their job, but his repeated comments about journalism make it hard to believe what he said on Air Force One today.”
Berman then played the clip of Trump saying, “I have a lot of respect for the press. Tremendous — Some of the greatest people I know are reporters and people in the media.”
Berman then noted that “keeping them honest,” that does not seem to be the case.
“The president has been disrespecting journalists for years,” Berman continued on. “Now, he very well may think the TV hosts who endlessly praise him at a certain network are some of the greatest people he knows. But what about reporters doing actual reporting? Over and over he has attacked the free press.”
As further evidence, Berman then played a montage of Trump calling the press “scum,” “crooked” and “the worst.”

Trump Responds to Report Hicks May Return to the White House: ‘I Love Hope!’
President Donald Trump responded to a report that former White House Communications Director Hope Hicks may be returning to the White House by noting how much he liked his former staffer.
On Friday, a report surfaced suggesting Hicks may be back in the West Wing and perhaps even as Chief-of-Staff.
According to Vanity Fair:
Another dark-horse candidate [for chief of staff] is Hope Hicks. Two sources say Hicks’s name is being discussed inside the White House. According to a source close to Hicks, she has told people she is open to the job if Trump asked, but is not pursuing it. When I reached out, she declined to comment.
When speaking to reporters on Air Force One on Friday, Trump did not exactly deny the report.
“I love Hope. She’s great. I hope that — I’ve been hearing little things like that,” Trump said, according to the pool report.
He added, “I think everybody misses it. You people exhaust a lot of people. They come in full of life and vim and vigor and then they’re exhausted.”
Trump, who is known to tease a lot of things, then stressed, “Many people would like to come back. Look, there is nothing more exciting than what we’re doing.”

Diamond & Silk Rail Against Prankster Who Managed to Call Trump: ‘Should Be Against the Law’
Internet Trumpians Diamond and Silk railed against a prankster who tried to place a phone call to President Donald Trump and actually got through.
Earlier today, the host of “The Stuttering John” podcast and Howard Stern alum, John Melendez, released a phone call he had with Trump while he was aboard Air Force One.
And he apparently pulled it off with a bad accent and pretending to be Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.).
Trump never caught on.
Referring to the phone call on Twitter, Diamond and Silk offered up a unique solution to the problem.
They decided that it should be a crime for a comedian to pretend to be a public official.
“It should be against the law for a comedian to impersonate a government official,” the duo wrote.

WH Official: ‘I Don’t Know’ If Trump Will Keep Using ‘Enemy of the People’ Line Against the Press
"The president has often referred to the press in this country as the enemy of the American people. Is he going to continue to say that?" asks @JudyWoodruff. @Marcshort45: "… I don't know if he is going to continue to use those words or not." pic.twitter.com/SIRzCQ7iBO
— PBS NewsHour (@NewsHour) June 29, 2018
White House Director of Legislative Affairs Marc Short was asked again tonight about President Trump‘s attacks on the media.
The discussion about rhetoric going after the press in the wake of the horrific Capital Gazette shooting has included reflections on the President’s own criticisms of the “fake news” and his statements that the fake news is the “enemy of the people.”
Earlier today, Short was asked on MSNBC whether the President should stop using that line.
Short started by saying everyone’s hearts go out to the victims and their families before telling Hallie Jackson it shouldn’t be political and also that MSNBC should “look into” Maxine Waters‘ rhetoric.
On PBS Newshour tonight, he was asked yet again:
JUDY WOODRUFF: The president has often referred to the press in this country as the enemy of the American people. Is he going to continue to say that?
SHORT: I think he’s often frustrated by coverage and the way that it’s perceived. I don’t know if he is going to continue to use those words or not, but I think we all mourn the loss of innocent life in Annapolis and I think we all hold those families in our prayers and wish as much healing as possible.
When asked if he agrees with the “enemy of the people” line, Short said the press “has a responsibility to make sure that they’re covering things as accurately and fairly as they can,” saying a free and fair press is “essential to American democracy.”

North Korea Has Reportedly Been Increasing Nuclear Production at ‘Secret Sites’
A new report from NBC News says that North Korea has actually “increased” its nuclear production at multiple secret sites.
Earlier this month, after his big summit with Kim Jong Un, President Donald Trump tweeted “There is no longer a Nuclear Threat from North Korea”:
Just landed – a long trip, but everybody can now feel much safer than the day I took office. There is no longer a Nuclear Threat from North Korea. Meeting with Kim Jong Un was an interesting and very positive experience. North Korea has great potential for the future!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 13, 2018
NBC News is reporting that “analysts at the CIA and other intelligence agencies don’t see it that way”:
U.S. intelligence agencies believe that North Korea has increased its production of fuel for nuclear weapons at multiple secret sites in recent months — and that Kim Jong Un may try to hide those facilities as he seeks more concessions in nuclear talks with the Trump administration, U.S. officials told NBC News.
One anonymous official said that even though the missile tests have stopped, “there’s no evidence that they are decreasing stockpiles, or that they have stopped their production… There is absolutely unequivocal evidence that they are trying to deceive the U.S.”

Earlier on Friday, Trump addressed the shooting during public remarks on the economy, noting, “This attack shocked the conscience of our nation and filled our hearts with grief. Journalists, like all Americans, should be free from the fear of being violently attacked while doing their job. To the families of the victims, there are no words to express our sorrow for your loss.”
However, a number of journalists were quick to point out his recent media disparaging remarks calling the press “the enemy.”
Donald Trump, who has repeatedly told his supporters that journalists are "the enemy of the people", says at the White House: "Journalists, like all Americans, should be free from the fear of being violently attacked while doing their job."

CNN’s Jim Acosta also called out Trump on Friday, shouting out at the event, “Mr. President, will you stop calling the press the enemy of the people?”
Trump did not respond to Acosta or the press at the event.
Trump didn't appear to hear any of the questions we called out to him at the end of the tax reform anniversary event. Notably, when the very friendly audience realized reporters were yelling to Trump, they increased the volume of their applause and whooping to override the press. https://t.co/YOXbBiCGVX

Schwarzeneger Calls Out Trump on Coal: Are You Going to Bring Back Blockbuster Too?
Former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has a new message for President Donald Trump: Don’t “go back in time” to rescue coal.
In a video uploaded to Facebook, Schwarzenegger references his Terminator persona while addressing a Trump bobblehead.
“So President Trump, I know you really want to be an action hero, right?” Schwarzenegger says in the video uploaded by ATTN. “So take it from the Terminator, you’re only supposed to go back in time to protect future generations. But your administration attempts to go back in time to rescue the coal industry, which is actually a threat to future generations.”
He then says bringing back big coal would be like bringing back “beanie babies.”
“It is foolish to bring back laughable, outdated technology to suit your political agenda,” Schwarzenegger continues on in the video uploaded by “I mean, what are you going to bring back next? Floppy disks? Fax machines? Beanie Babies? Beepers? Or Blockbuster? Think about it. What if you tried to save Blockbuster?”
Schwarzenegger has often been an outspoken critic of Trump’s policies, speaking out recently on the border policies.
As an immigrant, I know the magnetic power of America's greatness. As a former border Governor, I know the importance of securing our border and fixing our absurdly broken immigration system. As an American, I know that kids shouldn't be pawns while the "adults" figure it out.
— Arnold (@Schwarzenegger) June 20, 2018
He also shared the bobblehead video on Twitter on Thursday.
I know the 80s were great for both of us, @realDonaldTrump. But when it comes to energy, our country needs to look forward, not backward. Let's focus on saving the miners, not the coal industry. pic.twitter.com/ISdbGUHm2K

Ted Cruz Calls On IL Voters to Reject Nazi Candidate: Write In Someone or ‘Vote for the Democrat’
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) sent out a tweet encouraging people to vote against a controversial Illinois candidate running on the GOP ticket and instead, write in someone or vote for a Democrat.
“This is horrific,” Cruz wrote. “An avowed Nazi running for Congress. To the good people of Illinois, you have two reasonable choices: write in another candidate, or vote for the Democrat. This bigoted fool should receive ZERO votes.”
This is horrific. An avowed Nazi running for Congress. To the good people of Illinois, you have two reasonable choices: write in another candidate, or vote for the Democrat. This bigoted fool should receive ZERO votes. https://t.co/9WYlvCMKaF
— Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) June 29, 2018
Cruz was referring to Arthur Jones, an Illinois Holocaust denier who ran and won the Republican primary in the heavily Democratic Third Congressional District. Jones ran unopposed.
The Illinois Republicans were not impressed.
“Arthur Jones is not a real Republican — he is a Nazi whose disgusting, bigoted views have no place in our nation’s discourse,” Tim Schneider, the Illinois Republican Party chairman, told The New York Times.
In the Politico interview shared by Cruz, Jones also mocked the “two-party, Jew-party, queer-party system,” and boasted about his GOP win, noting “I snookered them.”
He added: “I played by the rules, what can I say?”
The GOP is considering a write-in candidate to counter Jones, who is a longshot candidate.
Jones has also not taken all the steps to be a viable candidate, refusing to file a report with the Federal Election Commission
“I’m not filing any reports. I’m not going to give the Jews an opportunity to harass my supporters until after the election,” he told Politico. “Right now, I’m keeping all the names confidential.”

Avenatti Tears into ‘Complete Amateur’ President Trump for Getting Fooled by Comedian’s Wild Phone Prank
Reuters Editor Apologizes After Tweeting ‘Blood is on Your Hands, Mr. President’ Over Shooting
Reuters editor Rob Cox apologized yesterday after tweeting “Blood is on your hands, Mr. President” to Donald Trump after an Annapolis, MD newsroom was shot up by a gunman.
“This is what happens when @realDonaldTrump calls journalists the enemy of the people,” Cox wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “Blood is on your hands, Mr. President. Save your thoughts and prayers for your empty soul.”
Cox, who heads Breakingviews for Reuters, issued the following statement in four tweets apologizing for the remark made after five people were killed at the Capital Gazette on Thursday:
When I saw the news today that a mass shooter had targeted the employees of a newspaper in Maryland I responded emotionally and inappropriately.
— Rob Cox (@rob1cox) June 29, 2018
2- Though my comments were entirely personal, they were not in keeping with the Reuters Trust Principles and my own standards for letting facts, not snap judgments, guide my understanding.
— Rob Cox (@rob1cox) June 29, 2018
3 – My experience as a member of the community of Newtown, Connecticut in the aftermath of the Sandy Hook tragedy, combined with the possibility that my colleagues in the press were being targeted, pushed me into a state of emotional distress.
— Rob Cox (@rob1cox) June 29, 2018
4 – I am sorry for my comments, which I quickly deleted and have disavowed, and especially remorseful if they did anything to distract from the thoughts and love we must send to the community of Annapolis.
— Rob Cox (@rob1cox) June 29, 2018
Reuters released the following statement in regards to Cox’s tweet, which suggests the editor could still face disciplinary action despite his apology:
“Earlier this evening, Reuters Breakingviews Editor Rob Cox tweeted about the shooting in Annapolis, Maryland. He has since deleted the tweet and apologized. Mr. Cox’s actions were inconsistent with the Thomson Reuters Trust Principles requiring journalists to maintain freedom from bias. We do not condone his behavior and will take appropriate action.”

Hisense's Absurd 100-Inch Laser TV Turned Me Into a Big Screen Believer
When discussing a big-screen TV, size is bound to be the primary topic of conversation, but with Hisense’s 100-inch Ultra HD Laser TV, bigness approaches a thought-terminating cliche—one I have been happy to let take over my puny mind.
