Bill Maher to Buttigieg: A Lot of Millennials Are ‘Fragile,’ Need ‘Trigger Warnings and Safe Spaces’

By News Here - 00:08

Bill Maher spoke with Mayor Pete Buttigieg last night on his 2020 candidacy to talk to him about the increasing attention he’s receiving. Maher noted he’s a young guy but didn’t ask him about the age issue.

He did, however, ask about the millennial generation in general.

“They’re not all fragile,” Maher said, “but in general, they’re fragile.”

Buttigieg responded, “This is the generation that provided the bulk of the troops in the wars after 9/11.”

Maher said he’s talking about “people who need cry rooms and trigger warnings and safe spaces.”

He brought up the outrage at Harvard over Ronald Sullivan, the professor and faculty dean who defended Harvey Weinstein, asking how Harvard student don’t understand the principle that everyone deserves a lawyer. Buttigieg defended their right to protest.
