2020 Candidates Start to Weigh In on Allegation of Inappropriate Behavior Against Biden: ‘I Believe Lucy Flores’
Former Vice President Joe Biden is not yet running for president, but 2020 contenders are already responding to the allegation from a former Nevada assemblywoman about his inappropriate behavior.
To recap: Lucy Flores wrote Friday that at a 2014 event Biden really made her uncomfortable when he touched and kissed her. A spokesperson for Biden said, “Neither then, nor in the years since, did he or the staff with him at the time have an inkling that Ms. Flores had been at any time uncomfortable, nor do they recall what she describes.”
Senator Elizabeth Warren was asked about Flores’ account today. She said she believes her and Biden needs to “give an answer.”
First real shots fired of campaign. Warren says she believes Lucy Flores who accused Biden of inappropriate behavior.
“I read the op-ed last night. I believe Lucy Flores and Joe Biden needs to give an answer.”
Asked if he should run, Warren: “That’s for Joe Biden to decide.”

Former HUD Secretary Julián Castro also said he believes Flores:
Julian Castro, asked about allegation against Joe Biden: “I believe Lucy Flores. We need to live in a nation where people can share their truth.”
Won’t say if it disqualifies Biden as a candidate. “He needs to decide if he’s going to run.”
