MSNBC was the most-watched network in cable news overall Monday, while CNN had the most viewers in the A25-54 demo and Fox News won the most demo viewers in the early morning.

MSNBC averaged 1.78 million total day viewers, and 263,000 in the demo. CNN had the fewest total day viewers ovearll, 1.49 million, but had the most viewers in the demo, 345,000. Fox had the second-most total viewers, 1.66 million, and fell just behind MSNBC in the demo, with 261,000.

In prime time, boosted by big audiences for both The Rachel Maddow Show and The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell, MSNBC won the night with 3.06 million total viewers, and was second in the demo, with 461,000. Fox had the second-most total viewers in prime time, 2.89 million million, and the fewest in the demo, 449,000. CNN won with prime time demo viewers, with 492,000, but had the fewest viewers overall, 2.03 million.

Rachel Maddow continued her winning streak, with Maddow being the most-watched in cable news and all of cable Monday. Maddow had 3.71 million total viewers, and with 608,000 A25-54 viewers, she also won the demo. Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox was the second most-watched show in both total and demo viewers, with nearly 3.6 million total and 575,000 viewers in the demo. The Last Word was third in total viewers, with 3.13 million (430,000 in the demo), and Cuomo Prime Time was the third most-watched in the demo, with 513,000 (2.19 million total).

The early morning saw a shakeup of sorts, with Fox and Friends getting the most viewers in the demo, 215,000 (and the second-most total viewers, 1.13 million). Morning Joe on MSNBC was the most-watched in the early morning, with 1.33 million total viewers, and fell just behind Fox in the demo, with 212,000. CNN’s New Day was third, with 725,000 total viewers and 170,000 in the demo.
