Joe Scarborough believes that Republican congressional members that have asked for the resignation of Rep. Adam Schiff are “overreaching” and hiding behind the four-page Mueller Report summary letter penned by Attorney General William Barr, who he then derided as “Trump’s own Roy Cohn.”

Morning Joe aired the remarkably compelling clip of Rep. Schiff’s responding to GOP members of the House Intell committee asking for the California Democrat to step down as chairman of the committee he currently oversees. Schiff outlined all the reasons he believed that an investigation into President Donald Trump’s actions with Russia was warranted. He then suggested that the Republicans willing to look away were unethical, immoral and ostensibly corrupt.

Scarborough responded to the clip with “Oh, my God, that is amazing,” before noting to fellow panelist Susan Del Percio how the GOP has overreached.

“They are trying to defend the indefensible, they are hiding behind Donald Trump’s own Roy Cohn, William Barr…who squeezes a couple of sentence fragments and puts it in the letter while trying to keep from the American people the Mueller Report and they set themselves up to look like fools every single day.”
