Rudy Giuliani accused Michael Cohen of doctoring the tape released of President Donald Trump discussing payment to squash a Playboy model’s allegation of an affair.

In a wild appearance on CNN Monday morning, Trump’s lawyer claimed Cohen had “183 unique tape recordings” but that there was “only one with the President of the United States”

That tape was aired on CNN last week, and featured Cohen speaking with Trump about a proposed payment to keep a Playboy model silent about her alleged affair with Trump. The release of the tape prompted a fiery backlash to Cohen from Giuliani and the president.

CNN’s Alisyn Camerota pointed out that while in May 2018, Giuliani called Cohen an “honest and honorable man,” just last week he accused him of lying “all his life.”

Giuliani said he didn’t know when he praised Cohen that Cohen had recorded Trump, and he now thinks “the guy is unethical, he’s a scumbag, he’s a horrible person.”

“By the way, he didn’t put out first part of that tape,” Giuliani said of Cohen. “I had to go find the first part of that tape.”

“He also cut off the last part of the tape with Trump, which our expert says is doctored,” he claimed. “You got a really bad guy you’re dealing with here.”
