UN Ambassador Mike Waltz got into a wild shouting match Tuesday at the United Nations General Assembly after a Cuban official called him a liar while he spoke.

Video by New York Post Washington D.C. Bureau Chief Josh Christenson showed Walz at the podium while Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla begins shouting from the floor and walking toward him.

Parrilla stood up during Waltz’s speech, in which he ripped Cuba’s leadership for living in luxury while their people lived in poverty.

Walz continued speaking over Parrilla, at one point say, “the reality is, he doesn’t like the substance” of the remarks.

Parrilla can be seen in the clip walking toward Waltz’s podium while continuing to shout at him.

“You can come and intimidate all you want,” Waltz said at another point. “I ask you to back away from this podium.”

Waltz then turned to the President of the body, Khalilur Rahman, who was sitting on a dais behind him.

“Mr. President, this individual needs to back away from this podium. He’s not going to intimidate me, in the United States of America like he tries to intimidate political prisoners.”

Parrilla continued shouting, prompting Waltz to yell, “And I’m the representative of the United States of America — back up!”

“You are a liar!” Parrilla yelled.

“Back up!” Waltz retorted.

Waltz took to X to share snippets of his speech.

“Cuba’s Communist leaders don’t want you to know about their luxury real estate portfolio, but we have the receipts,” he wrote over footage of him discussing the real estate holdings of some of Cuba’s leaders.
