A Judge Told Madonna To Stop Aggravating Her Neighbors

By News Here - 00:10

Page Six reports that recent Beyhive favorite Madonna and her legal team were told to cut the shit regarding her recent efforts to obtain records from the neighbors in her Upper West Side co-op in NYC. From that post title, you probably assumed the neighbors were bitching in a courtroom about all of the bulldozer, jackhammer, and iceberg cracking sounds coming from Madge’s place during her morning beauty ritual. But no, it’s some legal stuff.

Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Gerald Lebovits opined that M was “merely harassing” her neighbors by continuing to seek records from the co-op board after losing a lawsuit. Back in September of last year, Madonna lost a legal bid that challenged a co-op board rule that said she had to be home when her family or her staff were using her $7.3 million place. That got tossed out of court. Madge wouldn’t have ascended to the heights of “indescribably rich global superstar” if she took “judge rules in favor of the defendant” for an answer. So she tried to dig up the receipts.

She wanted access to board records including voting information and annual meeting minutes to “investigate how her lease was changed” and “how her family may use Unit 7A without breaching the lease.”

The oil baron widow or trust fund baby next door to Madge was tired of receiving patchouli-scented lawyer e-mails (clap your hands if you’re an oldie and remember the original Like A Prayer CD book being disgustingly patchouli-scented) so it went to a courtroom. And some dude in a robe had the gall to tell Madonna no!

“Plaintiff does not need those materials anymore to prove a case that, by law, she is no longer allowed to prove,” Lebovits wrote in the decision released Friday.

Madonna sued her building, Harperley Hall on West 64th Street, in 2016. The suit claimed that, because she’s always traveling the world, there was no way she could be in her condo all the time to satisfy the new rules. The case got tossed because Judge Lebovits decided she filed too late (the rule was made in 2014).

M actually being told “no” is always fun, but that rule is kinda dumb. It sounds like one of the young backup dancers she had sucked the life out of disintegrated on the front stoop and that sort of thing probably lowers property values. So they needed a reason to bounce her. Either that or they saw the pic up top and no one wanted whatever that is skulking around the building.
