Betty White is 96. Yet, she has no plans of retiring anytime soon.

According to Steven J. Boettcher, who co-directed the documentary, Betty White: First Lady of Television, the Hollywood legend has no plans of giving up on acting.

“She told me, ‘I’m going to be in the saddle forever,'” he told Closer Weekly.

He added:” She loves working; she loves the challenge. She’s someone that we’re all better off for that she’s lived this long.”

Boettcher spent 10 years getting to know White while working on the documentary.

In addition to being dedicated to her work, he also said the Golden Girls star really is a nice person and great to work with too.

“We spent a great deal of time with her [on this project] and she never said a bad word about anyone,” he said. “Through her career, every cast and crew member loved working with her. She’d remember every one of their names, their kids, and most importantly, the names of their pets!”

Boettcher’s documentary comes out in August. White has said she would like to work with one of her Hollywood idols, Robert Redford, in an upcoming project. Redford is 81.
