‘I’m on Marjorie’s Side’: Joy Behar Offers Surprising Defense of Taylor Greene After Republican Claims She Was ‘Attacked’ in a Restaurant
Joy Behar offered a surprising defense of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) after the Republican claimed she was “attacked” in a restaurant over her politics.
Greene took to Twitter on Monday night to claim she was “attacked” by a woman and her adult son while dining in a restaurant.
“They had no respect for the restaurant or the staff or the other people dining or people like me who simply have different political views. They are self righteous, insane, and completely out of control. I was sitting at my table, working with my staff, and never even noticed these people until they turned into demons,” Greene wrote.

On Tuesday’s The View, Behar shockingly said that she was for once on Greene’s side, although she did acknowledge that the congresswoman is essentially condemning something she’s been accused of doing too.
“I have to say I’m on Marjorie’s side on this one. I don’t believe that anybody should be going up to any of us in public and and harassing us and that goes for you too, Marjorie,” Behar said.
The comedian recalled being confronted by an angry protester while out with her husband.
“She does this and now it’s been done to her. I have to say I think it’s deplorable that anybody would do anything like that, including her and the person who did that to her,” she said.
Sunny Hostin recalled similarly being harassed in public, but she wasn’t ready to even buy into Greene’s story.
“She’s this professional troller. She was disrespectful to the president of the United States during the State of the Union. She heckles people all the time. I need more information,” she said, adding details like the specific restaurant, what was said, potential footage all needed to be known before she could jump to Greene’s defense.
“Let’s just take her word for it in this case,” Behar said.
“I can’t do that,” Hostin replied.
Greene’s claim she was “attacked” has led to others similarly highlighting her past behavior, including gun control activist David Hogg. The young activist referenced a 2018 encounter where Greene followed Hogg and called him a “coward” over his views.

WATCH: Greg Gutfeld Smokes a Joint With Bill Maher as They Discuss Their Careers, Porn and Partying
Bill Maher and Fox News Host Greg Gutfeld sat down for an in-depth discussion on life, careers and their former party days.
For the Sunday edition of Maher’s podcast Club Random, Gutfeld joined the comedian at his studio bar. And in typical Maher fashion, the two smoked a joint to help the conversation flow.
Gutfeld discussed a hilarious encounter at an airport bar in which he assumed the fellow patron hated Fox News.
“I was at an airport, it was Newark, I was waiting for my wife, she was flying in from somewhere, I’d just flown in and I was at a bar, and this dude was sitting there at the bar, and he was just staring at me, and he looked like somebody who didn’t like me, he was an older dude, and so, I’m assuming, because I’m at Fox, that this was somebody who hates Fox,” Gutfeld explained. “He decides that he is going to get up and he’s going to talk to me, and I could see it happening, and he comes over to me, and he goes, ‘I just want to tell you that you should be ashamed of what you do for a living.'”
“‘TMZ has ruined so many people,'” the patron told Gutfeld, mistaking him for TMZ founder Harvey Levin.
As the conversation continued, Gutfeld reminded Maher of the time they ran into each other years prior.
“It was an after party for your show and you were there. I think I shaked (sic) your hand, but I’m not sure I did,” Gutfeld told Maher.
“Oh, well, if it was that, no-one can remember,” Maher replied.
Maher congratulated Gutfeld on the success of his Fox News Channel show, Gutfeld!
“Listen, you’ve made a big success of your show there,” Maher said. “I always say to people, you know, you may not love somebody’s success, but you have to respect success, you know?”
Toward the end of their discussion the conversation turned to porn, a topic of conversation often featured on Maher’s podcast.
“How do they monetize that though? That’s the thing that I don’t get,” Gutfeld said.
“That is fascinating, I never really actually thought about that,” Maher replied. “The idea, I’ve wondered about this, the idea that incest porn is really about being lazy — It’s about being lazy.”
“You don’t want to even leave the house. You don’t want to leave the house, she’s right there,” Gutfeld laughed.

Dilbert’s Scott Adams Announces Book Canceled in Wake of Rant on Race: ‘Still No Disagreement About My Point of View’
Scott Adams announced on Monday that a “non-Dilbert book” was cancelled and he was dropped by his publishing agent in the wake of racism accusations over a rant where he encouraged White people to “get the hell away from Black people.”
The Dilbert comic strip was dropped last week by hundreds of newspapers, many of which condemned Adams’ comments. The comic strip creator announced the fallout if continuing with a new book being canceled. Adams has written a number of books, including on former President Donald Trump.
“My publisher for non-Dilbert books has canceled my upcoming book and the entire backlist. Still no disagreement about my point of view. My book agent canceled me too,” Adams tweeted.

On his show Real Coffee with Scott Adams, the author cited a Rasmussen poll in which 26 percent of Black respondents answered “no” when asked “is it okay to be White.” Another 21 percent said they weren’t sure, while a majority said it was.
“Based on the current way things are going, the best advice I would give to White people is to get the hell away from Black people,” Adams said. “This can’t be fixed. You just have to escape.”
Adams has defended his comments and insisted he was not promoting discrimination, though that’s what many pundits have labeled his shocking rant.
Adams announced his Dilbert comic will be available through the Locals social media site.

WATCH: College Basketball Coach BIZARRELY Stares Down Referee in Anger Over a Call
It’s practically part of the job description for college basketball coaches to express their displeasure with referees — but this particular dispute got intense.
In the closing moments of Saturday afternoon’s Iowa-Michigan State game, Iowa head coach Fran McCaffrey protested a technical foul he’d just been slapped with by walking down referee Kelly Pfiefer, and then staring angrily at him.
“What is happening here?” ESPN announcer Kevin Brown said, narrating the bizarre moment.
One of McCaffrey’s players tried to get the coach to back off, but he only went in closer. Pfiefer likewise took a step in and glared right back at the angry coach.
Finally, after about 20 seconds, an Iowa assistant was able to tear McCaffrey away from the scene and back into the team huddle.
“This is like the wild west,” ESPN announcer Robbie Hummel added, while narrating a replay of the strange sequence.
“That moment will live on in college basketball Twitter for the rest of time,” Brown added.
Hopefully, other coaches won’t be tempted to replicate the childish behavior — although it’s possible they might, given that McCaffrey’s Hawkeyes miraculously overcame a 10-point deficit with 1:29 to play and ultimately defeated Michigan State in overtime 112-106.

Fox News Host Speaks Out Against Network’s Decision to Stop Him from Covering Dominion Lawsuit: ‘I Strongly Disagree’
A Fox News host said the network is not allowing him to cover the $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit filed against Fox News by Dominion voting systems.
Speaking at the midway point of his weekly media roundup show MediaBuzz on Sunday, Howard Kurtz said that the company has forbidden him from covering the case. He added that he is not on board with that decision.
“The company has decided that as part of the organization being sued, I can’t talk about it or write about it, at least for now,” Kurtz said. I strongly disagree with that decision. But as an employee, I have to abide by it.”
Kurtz noted that some in his audience have quizzed him about the fact that he’s been silent on the case.
“Some of you have been asking why I’m not covering the Dominion voting machines case against Fox involving the unproven claims of election fraud in 2020,” Kurtz said. “It’s absolutely a fair question. I believe I should be covering it, it’s a major media story, given my role here at Fox.”
The lack of coverage was particularly noticeable on last Sunday’s edition of the show, which came three days after a blockbuster filing in the case included a series of unflattering revelations about Fox News. Among the bombshells in the filing; Rupert Murdoch instructed Fox News President Suzanne Scott to help Donald Trump “any way we can,” and that Fox News executives described several of the network’s own hosts as “crazy.”
The network has maintained the revelations are “noise,” arguing that they are “irrelevant” to the case.
“There will be a lot of noise and confusion generated by Dominion and their opportunistic private equity owners, but the core of this case remains about freedom of the press and freedom of speech, which are fundamental rights afforded by the Constitution and protected by New York Times v. Sullivan,” the network said in a statement. A Fox News spokesperson added, “Dominion has mischaracterized the record, cherry-picked quotes stripped of key context, and spilled considerable ink on facts that are irrelevant under black-letter principles of defamation law.”
Fox News has filed a counterclaim in the case arguing that Dominion has not established has suffered financially as a result of the network’s coverage — noting that they generate annual revenues approaching $100 million per year.
Kurtz, however, said he was not permitted to address any of that on the air.
“If that changes, I’ll let you know,” he said.

‘You’re Not Gonna Gaslight Me’: Famed Activist Erin Brockovich Blasts Biden’s ‘Nothing’s Wrong’ Response to East Palestine Disaster
Famed whistleblower, activist, and advocate Erin Brockovich said Friday that President Joe Biden and his administration are trying to hide something about the East Palestine train derailment disaster, but won’t get away with it because the evidence is apparent. “You’re not gonna gaslight me,” she said.
Brockovich has been on the ground in East Palestine talking to citizens concerned about their safety, listening to official responses and statements from the Biden administration and federal agencies, and filming scenes from around the community. She’s set up a website dedicated to the investigation and has been equal opportunity with cable news, appearing on MSNBC and CNN in addition to Fox News.
Speaking with Tucker Carlson, Brockovich said that the government’s response under Biden has been wholly inadequate as well as deceptive, and that the people in the area know they aren’t “being seen or heard,” by those who are supposed to be looking out for them.
The legal clerk and investigator, who famously works to uncover harm done to regular people by the actions of corporations and government — and who was portrayed by Julia Roberts in a film about it — says that there is definitely something more, something dangerous going on in East Palestine, and that the information is being withheld.
“I see what’s going on here,” said Brockovich. “You’re not gonna gaslight me.”
ERIN BROCKOVICH: We’re pushing a month now and they still don’t have any answers. It’s very obvious something’s really gone wrong out here. And I’ve been out here down on the ground and they’re really frustrated, why they don’t feel that their agencies or their administration cares about what’s happened to the community. So it is very apparent they are are concerned and not being seen or heard.
TUCKER CARLSON: So that, you make such an interesting point. And I don’t know the answer to this, but you’ve been around this kind of thing before. You think that there’s something specific that they’re not being told. That’s that’s your sense?
ERIN BROCKOVICH: Yeah, there is. And I mean, it’s like, Oh my gosh, come on. Oh, we’re out here. What, 44,000 fish are dead? We’ve seen them. We’ve seen them out here today aerating the creeks. They’re removing stuff. That, the wellheads are locked. What’s up?
Look, you don’t have to go any further, in my opinion, than a hundred year study that we all know the miners did for us. It’s called the canary in the mine shaft. Send the canary down there, it dies: Might not be good for humans. You have dead fish: might not be good for humans. You have dead animals: might not be good for humans. You’ve sent a horrible mixed message to this community. Drink the water. Don’t drink the water. Safe. Not safe.
It’s — It’s horribly confusing and extremely frustrating to them. And something actually has gone wrong here. And there’s information that has yet to come forward, and the story will continue to unfold.
TUCKER CARLSON: So nicely put. And I just want to pick up on something you said. The wellheads have been locked? What did you mean?
ERIN BROCKOVICH: So, so in the schools, so the children can’t drink the fountains, and then on private wells around here, they’ve got locks on them. So they obviously — aw, come on. Wha– if there’s no problem, you don’t need to lock up a drinking fountain. You don’t need to be aerating the system. And you can explain away all day long to me that nothing’s wrong. But I, I see what’s going on here.
You’re not gonna gaslight me.
The Biden administration was recently similarly under fire over an apparent difference between when they became aware of the Chinese spy balloon that spied on American infrastructure as it crossed the entire country, and when the public became aware of it.
On Fox News on Friday, Rachel Campos Duffy noted that the “Erin Brockovich moment” in East Palestine has also not attracted the interest or concerns of Hollywood or corporate America, which host Jesse Watters suggested may be because drawing attention would “embarrass the administration.”

Dilbert Creator Blasted After Shocking Comments Telling White People to ‘Get the Hell Away from Black People’
Dilbert creator Scott Adams went viral this week, but it wasn’t for his workplace comedy comic strip. Instead, it was over comments he made recommending White people “get the hell away from Black people.”
On the Wednesday episode of Real Coffee with Scott Adams, the Dilbert creator – who has gained attention in recent years for his books and musings on Donald Trump – cited a Rasmussen poll that posed the question, “is it okay to be White.”
According to the survey, 26% of Black respondents answered “no” to the question while another 21% said they weren’t sure. The majority of Black respondents, out of the thousand total people surveyed, said it was “okay” to be White, but Adams ranted about other parts of the result.
“Based on the current way things are going, the best advice I would give to White people is to get the hell away from Black people,” Adams said. “This can’t be fixed. You just have to escape.”
The cartoonist openly admitted to moving somewhere because it had “a very low Black population,” he roped in CNN’s Don Lemon as some kind of back-up to his claims, and then argued it’s “no longer a rational impulse” for a “White citizen of America to try to help Black citizens.”
“If nearly half of all Blacks are not okay with White people – according to this poll, not according to me – that’s a hate group. That’s a hate group, and I don’t want anything to do with them,” he ranted.

Dem Congressman Jamaal Bowman Agrees DeSantis Wants to ‘Sustain White Supremacy’ With Black History Restrictions
Democratic Congressman Jamaal Bowman agreed with SiriusXM radio host Dean Obeidallah that “of course” Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is “trying to sustain white supremacy” with his stances on race in education.
On Friday’s edition of The Dean Obeidallah Show, the host asked Bowman about the governor’s support for laws and policies that restrict race-based conversation and analysis in education, and Bowman expanded greatly on the host’s assessment that it’s tied to “white supremacy”:
DEAN OBEIDALLAH: The Ron DeSantis book club is the saddest book club in the world. It’s just like us. It’s a range, very diverse authors, all different shades of white people will be in that collection. Well, I mean, do you– you really need to be blunt, here. Is the banning of some of the Black history and teaching robustly in the books. Is it part and parcel of trying to sustain white supremacy on some level?
REP. JAMAAL BOWMAN: Yes, of course, of course. I mean, historically, you know, we African-Americans weren’t allowed to learn to read at all. Like, learning to read was a crime that you could be raped, beaten or lynched for. So that, that is part of America’s DNA, the exclusion of literacy from the African-American community.
Fast forward to today, and what we have is many authors like Ibram X Kendi and others who are writing books challenging the notion of race, challenging the notion of white supremacy and providing content that raises the intelligence and consciousness of everyone in the country. That’s happening directly right now with the 1619 Project and so many others.
There’s always, they’ve always been there, but it’s been more public now. And I want to make another really important point. The teaching and learning of African-American history is as good, if not more important to white people than it is to Black people, because theoretically, Black people will get that from home and books and other places that we naturally pursue because of our parents, grandparents, etc., White people have been excluded from it.
So with that exclusion, you are then raised on assumptions and presumptions and perceptions of Black people versus what actually happened, and you are more likely to buy into the belief that you might be infer– superior because of your race. Sub- even subconsciously, that subconscious belief is very powerful and impactful and impacts your decision-making throughout your life.

Ted Cruz Mocks Democrat Support For Ukraine: Ukrainian Flag is ‘Like a Covid Mask’
Texas senator and part-time podcaster Ted Cruz (R-TX) blasted support for Ukraine from Democrats and compared the Ukrainian flag to a Covid mask.
During the Wednesday edition of his podcast, Verdict with Ted Cruz, the Republican sat down with his co-host Ben Ferguson to talk about President Joe Biden’s recent trip to Ukraine marking one year since the Russian invasion began.
In the same episode, Cruz suggested that the trip was Biden and Zelensky “engaged in theatre,” criticizing how both did not flinch at the sound of the air sirens going off.
Cruz later turned his attention to the financial support Ukraine has received from the U.S.
Ferguson asked about how we account for the money the U.S. is sending to Ukraine, highlighting that we’re sending more cash than weaponry.
“Do we have any accounting or any checks and balances for this now open-ended war?” Ferguson asked.
“So we’re sending both and we don’t have nearly as much accountability as we need,” Cruz replied.
“There are lots of things we’re not sending, for example, what are called ATACM ballistic missiles. Those are ballistic missiles that Ukraine could use to take out the Iranian drones,” Cruz said.
“Biden administration is not providing the missiles that could take out those Iranian drones because their priority is kissing up to the ayatollah and entering into a new nuclear deal with the ayatollah,” Cruz alleged. “Even if it undermines U.S. national security at the same time.”
Cruz also argued that the billions of dollars that are being funneled to the Ukrainian government from the U.S. has “very little accountability as to where that money is going.”
The senator also said he recently warned a U.S. ambassador for a country near Ukraine, that “congressional patience for an open-ended commitment to the Ukraine war is fading quickly.”
“With a Republican majority in the House, I think you’re gonna see much more scrutiny on what funds are going,” Cruz said. “I think there will still be a willingness to provide actual weaponry, to provide ammunition or weapons that the Ukrainians can use to defend themselves. I think there will be very little interest in unrestrained checks going to the government of Ukraine.”
Cruz said for Democrats, the Ukraine war has become a virtue-signaling opportunity.
“Democrats, they wear a Ukrainian flag. Zelensky has become, I think People Magazine is gonna name him the sexiest man alive. They’re in love with him,” Cruz said.
“A Ukrainian flag has become like a covid mask. It’s a sign to show your virtue,” Cruz said. “Now look on the conservative side, there are a lot of us who are Reagan conservatives that believes standing up to Russian aggression is a good idea — that want Russia to lose, that want Putin to lose.”
Cruz said leftists’ interest in the Ukraine war “is driving millions of Americans away and saying, ‘All right, if they’re for it, I ain’t for it.'”

Murdaugh Breaks Down on Witness Stand Testifying About Finding His Wife and Son’s Bodies
Disgraced former South Carolina attorney Alex Murdaugh became emotional as he testified about how he supposedly found the bodies of his wife and son, who he has been accused of killing.
Murdaugh took the stand in his own defense on Thursday as he remains charged for the 2021 shooting deaths of Maggie and Paul Murdaugh. After an intense first round of questions and admitting that he lied to investigators, Murdaugh became visibly distressed when he was questioned about being at the kennels of his family’s hunting lodge on the night of the double homicide.
When Murdaugh eventually regained enough of his composure, defense attorney Jim Griffin asked him what he did when he pulled up in his car and found his wife and son’s dead bodies.
“I think that I jumped out of my car. I am not sure exactly what I did, but I know that I got out of my car. I know I ran back to my car,” Murdaugh said, his voice remaining labored and heavy with emotion. “I was on the phone with 911 and trying to tend to ‘Paw-Paw.’ I was trying to tend to Maggie. I just went back and forth between them.”
Murdaugh broke down again as he spoke about the gruesome condition of his son’s body, and how “I could see his brain laying on the sidewalk.”
“I didn’t know what to do.”

Trump Fumes Over Grand Jury Foreperson’s ‘Media Tour,’ Angrily Dismisses Georgia Probe: ‘All I Did Was Make TWO PERFECT PHONE CALLS!’
Donald Trump took to Truth Social to fume over the “media tour” underway by Emily Kohrs, the grand jury foreperson in a 20202 election probe involving the former president.
Kohrs has spoken to multiple media outlets about her experience on the Georgia grand jury, hinting that multiple indictments could be in the works, potentially for Trump himself too. Trump fumed on Wednesday that the case is “ridiculous.”
“This Georgia case is ridiculous, a strictly political continuation of the greatest Witch Hunt of all time. Now you have an extremely energetic young woman, the (get this!) ‘foreperson’ of the Racist D.A.’s Special Grand Jury, going around and doing a Media Tour revealing, incredibly, the Grand Jury’s inner workings & thoughts,” Trump wrote.
The grand jury in the Georgia election interference probe concluded its work in January and they heard from 75 witnesses. They recommended indictments, but that doesn’t mean there are actual charges or that charges are inevitable.
At the center of this Georgia case is a phone call Trump made to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger where the then-president appeared to pressure his fellow Republican into finding thousands of votes in his favor that weren’t there. Trump appeared to defend the call in his Truth Social post and suggested crime in Atlanta was a reason for prosecutors to ignore a case involving him as that should be prioritized over his “two perfect phone calls.”
“This is not JUSTICE, this is an illegal Kangaroo Court,” Trump wrote. “Atlanta is leading the Nation in Murder and other Violent Crimes. All I did is make TWO PERFECT PHONE CALLS!!!”

Biden Makes Bold Promise: ‘Ukraine Will Never Be a Victory For Russia’
President Joe Biden, during a speech from Warsaw, applauded Ukraine’s resilience and condemned Vladimir Putin’s aggression on the one-year anniversary of Russia’s invasion of the country.
The president spoke from Poland a day after his surprise visit to Kyiv where he pledged more U.S. support for Ukraine after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“One year ago, the world was bracing for the fall of Kyiv,” Biden said. “I’ve just come from a visit to Kyiv and I can report: Kyiv stands strong. Kyiv stands proud. It stands tall, and most important, it stands free.”
Biden said Russia’s invasion represented a test for not only Ukraine, but also the world’s commitment to democracy and the sovereignty of nations.
The questions we face are simple as they were profound. Would we respond, or would we look the other way? Would we be strong, or would we be weak? Would we be, with all our allies, united or divided? One year later, we know the answer. We did respond, we would be strong, we would be united, and the world would not look the other way.
Biden taunted Putin by mocking Russia’s various setbacks while also condemning the atrocities and human rights abuses Russia has been responsible for in Ukraine. He continued to emphasize that democracy is at stake and warned that Putin is still watching the world for signs of winning commitments to Ukraine’s defense.
President Putin’s craven lust for land and power will fail, and the Ukrainian people’s love for their country will prevail. Democracies of the world will stand guard of our freedoms today, tomorrow, and forever…Autocrats only understand one word: no, no, no. No you will not take my country, you will not take my freedom or my future. I’ll repeat tonight what I said last year in this same place. A dictator bent on rebuilding an empire will never be able to ease the people’s love of liberty. Brutality will never grind down the will of the free, and Ukraine will never be a victory for Russia. Never.

Utah Lawmaker Rips Shaq And Sir Charles For Calling Salt Lake City A ‘Boring A** City’
Utah State Senator Nate Blouin (D) blasted NBA on TNT’s Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley for calling Salt Lake City a “boring ass city.”
During Sunday night’s NBA All-Star Game broadcast, Barkley and O’Neal thought Utah’s capital was too quiet for them to go out during the night, and the two Hall of Fame players did not mince words about the city and its people.
“These people going to heaven, there ain’t nothing to do in this boring ass city,” said Barkley (aka Sir Charles). “There ain’t nothing to do here!”
“It’s a great city, but there ain’t nothing to do here,” Barkley said. “These people all going to heaven.”
O’Neal echoed Barkley’s opinion about the city and made it seem like he never left his hotel room throughout the weekend.
“I never ate so much room service in my life,” O’Neal said.
Barkley alluded to Utah’s stance on alcohol and tobacco laws throughout the state.
“Can’t smoke, can’t drink. These people going to heaven,” Barkley said.
After the video of Barkley and O’Neal went viral on Twitter, Blouin took time on Twitter to rip the two Inside the NBA hosts for their opinion. The Utah lawmaker wrote:
Super disappointing take. Do better @SHAQ and Charles! Bet y’all were just cooped up in the all star VIP areas and didn’t even get into the city, and are just perpetuating a reputation we’re working hard to change.

Before Barkley decided to take a dig at Salt Lake City, he had to defend himself by saying he was not drunk on the broadcast and blamed it on a faulty microphone, but his co-hosts did not believe him.
In the All-Star game, Giannis Antetokounmpo’s team defeated LeBron James’ team 184-175.

Whoopi Goldberg Disqualifies Nikki Haley as ‘New Generation’ Political Leader: ‘You’re 51. What Are You Talking About?’
Whoopi Goldberg took the lead on The View Monday as the panel held an interesting conversation about whether age should be a point of qualification among America’s political officials.
The show kicked the week off by talking about Nikki Haley and others who’ve called for a “new generation” of leaders to emerge. Goldberg has not been impressed with Haley declaring her run for president and she argued that the former U.N. ambassador cannot truly claim to be part of this “new generation.”
“You’re not a new generation, you’re 51,” Goldberg said. “What are you talking about?”
Alyssa Farah Griffin argued 51 qualifies as “new generation” by D.C. standards, though Goldberg countered, “She may be younger than most of those people, but her rhetoric is the same.” Goldberg also called for more younger people to run for office instead of commentating about how America’s political leadership doesn’t properly represent the new generation.
While the prerecorded conversation didn’t broach the recent blow-up between Haley and CNN’s Don Lemon, Sunny Hostin followed up by denouncing Haley’s call for older politicians to be tested for their mental competency.
“How dare she say that someone over 75 needs some sort of mental acuity test!” Hostin exclaimed. “I think she needs a mental acuity test!”
The discussion continued with the panel balancing the merits of experience and political seniority with the question of when do politicians become too old to effectively do their jobs. When the conversation moved back to the topic of representing Generation Z, Goldberg got back in to declare, “I’m really sick of people talking about age because if you can do the job, I don’t care how old you are.”
“You can be as old as dirt if you’re getting stuff done for America,” she said. “It’s fine if you get a lot of young people put in there, but you’re still going to have to sit at the feet of older people because you don’t know as much.”

Fox News Files Counterclaim in Dominion Suit Alleging Company Can’t Prove ‘Staggering’ $1.6 Billion Damages
Fox News has issued a new court filing arguing that Dominion Voting Systems lacks evidence to establish their claim to $1.6 billion in damages over the network’s proliferation of 2020 election conspiracy theories.
Reuters reports that Fox News filed a counterclaim in Delaware Superior Court, a new step in the network’s legal battle against Dominion’s defamation case. In the counterclaim, Fox argues that Dominion’s $1.6 billion lawsuit has “‘no connection’ to its value ‘or any supposed injury it suffered'” after Fox News amplified conspiratorial claims that Dominion’s voting machines helped swing the election away from former President Donald Trump. Fox further argued that Dominion remains financially sound — generating annual revenues approaching $100 million even after the election-rigging claims. Dominion declined Reuters’ request for comment.
The legal battle between Fox News and Dominion reached a new critical mass after the release of leaked emails and text messages from among the network’s top brass and most prominent figures. The contents offered several shocking revelations about the network’s conduct while they were giving breath to the unsubstantiated conspiracies about Dominion.
One of the biggest shockers was an email in which Fox News Chairman Rupert Murdoch emailed CEO Suzanne Scott and called for Fox to help Trump “any way we can.” Another big reveal was a collection of text messages showing that Tucker Carlson was demanding that Fox News White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich be fired for fact-checking Trump’s election lies. Other internal communications show that Fox higher-ups knew Team Trump’s election fraud claims were bogus, but still allowed them on air while discussing which of their opinion hosts were “crazy.”
Fox has described Dominion’s lawsuit as an attack on free press and as an attempt by the company’s backers to enrich themselves with their $1.6 billion damages claim.
“There will be a lot of noise and confusion generated by Dominion and their opportunistic private equity owners, but the core of this case remains about freedom of the press and freedom of speech, which are fundamental rights afforded by the Constitution and protected by New York Times v. Sullivan,” the network said in a previous statement to Mediaite. A Fox News spokesperson added, “Dominion has mischaracterized the record, cherry-picked quotes stripped of key context, and spilled considerable ink on facts that are irrelevant under black-letter principles of defamation law.”

OOPS! Twitter Reminds Jean-Pierre That Biden Paid Homage to FDR Before Denouncing Him as ‘Shameful’
The White House, on Sunday, condemned late President Franklin Delano Roosevelt for having “ushered in one of the most shameful periods in American history.” Yet — as Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was reminded when she shared the White House statement on Twitter — President Joe Biden has honored FDR by hanging his portrait prominently in the Oval Office.
In the statement, the White House denounced Roosevelt on the 81st anniversary of his signing an executive order which led to Japanese internment camps.
“When President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066, eighty-one years ago today, it ushered in one of the most shameful periods in American history,” Biden said in the statement. “The wrongful incarceration of 120,000 Americans of Japanese descent tore families apart. Men, women, and children were forced to abandon their homes, their jobs, their communities, their businesses, and their way of life. They were sent to inhumane concentration camps simply because of their heritage.”
Yet as observers on Twitter were quick to point out to Jean-Pierre when she shared the statement, President Biden has honored Roosevelt by prominently hanging a portrait of the 32nd President above the fireplace in the Oval Office.
As you can see in the photograph below, the portrait of FDR is the centerpiece of five that Biden has on display in his Oval Office. It is flanked by portraits of Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Alexander Hamilton.
In a story published by the Washington Post back when Biden took office, writer Annie Linskey noted the prominent position given to the FDR portrait.
“President Biden has filled the Oval Office with images of American leaders and icons, focusing the room around a massive portrait of Franklin D. Roosevelt that hangs across from the Resolute Desk,” Linskey wrote. “It is a clear nod to a president who helped the country through significant crises, a challenge Biden now also faces.”
Observers on Twitter seized on the odd juxtaposition of Biden honoring a president he now says “ushered in one of the most shameful periods in American history.”

WATCH: ABC’s Raddatz Confronts Lindsey Graham on His Call to GA Official as Grand Jury Finds Witnesses in Probe Committed Perjury
Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) claimed to have no concerns regarding his testimony for the investigation into the attempts by former President Donald Trump and his allies to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia.
ABC News’ Martha Raddatz interviewed Graham on Sunday for This Week, where the senator largely discussed the dynamics between the U.S., China, and Russia amid recent events. Towards the end of the interview, Raddatz brought up the release of excerpts from the Fulton County special grand jury report, which reveals that the jury believes one or more witnesses committed perjury in their testimony.
Graham testified before the grand jury last year to face questions about his phone calls with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger after the 2020 election. Trump and his allies targeted Raffensperger in their efforts to throw out the state’s election results, but Graham has denied Raffensperger’s claims that the senator told him he had the authority to reject certain ballots from that election.
Raddatz brought up all of this to Graham, plus the indications that the grand jury found no evidence of widespread fraud in Georgia during the election. Thus, Raddatz asked, “Do you accept the grand jury conclusion and do you have any regrets about calling the secretary of state, and any concerns about perjury?”
It remains unclear who the grand jury suspects of committing perjury, so Graham said he had “no concerns about my testimony.”
“The grand jury analysis that there was no widespread fraud in Georgia, I agree with that. I think the voting by mail had problems, but I found no evidence of widespread fraud,” Graham continued. “I had to decide as a senator whether or not to validate the Georgia election. I thought it made sense to call up the Georgia secretary of state, and I did, asked hard questions. But at the end of the day, I voted to certify the election results in Georgia for the 2020 election.”

Fox News’s Sunday morning show MediaBuzz — which highlights the week’s biggest news from the media world — chose to ignore the dominant story in the cable news world
Hosted by Howard Kurtz, this Sunday’s edition of the hour-long program opted not to cover the bombshell revelations involving Fox News and many of its personalities and executives — which were made public in a newly-unsealed filing from the Dominion voting systems $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit against the network.
The decision to look the other way on the Dominion filing might not be an enormous shock, given the unflattering nature of the revelations against Fox News. Among the stunning news to come out of the filing was an email from Rupert Murdoch to Fox News President Suzanne Scott in which the media mogul called for the network to be “helping” former President Donald Trump “any way we can.” Also, several Fox News executives described a number of the network’s own hosts and anchors as “crazy.”
But Kurtz did not address, even perfunctorily, any of the latest developments — which have dominated discussion in the media world over the past 72 hours. Instead, he focused his program on media coverage of, among other topics, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, John Fetterman checking himself into the hospital for depression, and Don Lemon’s widely-denounced controversial comments about women over 50 being “past their prime.”

‘Why Not Me?’ Nikki Haley Whiffs When Asked to Explain How Her Candidacy Differs From Trump
Republican 2024 presidential candidate Nikki Haley had very little to offer when asked to explain what distinguishes her from Donald Trump as they run against each other for the same office.
Shannon Bream interviewed Haley on Sunday, during which, the Fox News host brought up the Wall Street Journal editorial board’s questions about Haley’s candidacy. The board released an article last week that said Haley had a “great” campaign rollout, but she has yet to provide a rationale for her candidacy that makes her stand out from Trump and her other potential rivals.
Bream summarized all of this before turning to Haley to ask “why you?”
“Why not me?” Haley answered. She followed this by referring to her personal story, then by offering a standard overview of her belief in term limits, countering “woke education,” and addressing the “socialism” and “defeatism” that have supposedly taken root in American society.
This wound up being a recurring issue of the interview, for Bream noted that Haley just spoke with Sean Hannity and wouldn’t say what policy differences she has with Trump.
“Clearly you think you are a better option than he is, or you wouldn’t have gotten into the race,” Bream said, “so where do you differ?”
“I don’t focus on President Trump,” Haley responded, “and it is amazing the media wants to talk about that so much.”
This prompted Bream to point out the inevitable reality that “to get through the primary, you’ll have to focus” on every opponent standing between Haley and the GOP nomination.
“To get to President Trump, you will have to get through that field,” Bream said. Haley ignored the broader implications of the question by saying “I’m focused on Joe Biden,” and by reiterating her call for “a new generation.”

WATCH: VP Kamala Harris Blasts Russia ‘Crimes Against Humanity’ In Munich Speech — Promises ‘You Will Be Held To Account’
Vice President Kamala Harris made news by announcing a formal U.S. finding that Russia committed “crimes against humanity” in the war on Ukraine being waged at Vladimir Putin’s direction.
The vice president delivered a speech Saturday in Munich, Germany during the Munich Security Conference, where she ripped Putin and revealed that “we have examined the evidence” and “The United States has formally determined that Russia has committed crimes against humanity”:
First, from the starting days of this unprovoked war, we have witnessed Russian forces engage in horrendous atrocities and war crimes. Their actions are an assault on our common values, an attack on our common humanity.
And let us be clear: Russian forces have pursued a widespread and systemic attack against a civilian population — gruesome acts of murder, torture, rape, and deportation. Execution-style killings, beatings, and electrocution.
Russian authorities have forcibly deported hundreds of thousands of people from Ukraine to Russia, including children. They have cruelly separated children from their families.
And we’ve all seen the images of the theater in Mariupol, where hundreds of people were killed.
Think of the image of the pregnant mother who was killed following a strike at a maternity hospital, where she was preparing to give birth.
Think of the images of Bucha. Civilians shot in cold blood. Their bodies left in the street. The jarring photograph of the man who was riding his bike.
Think of the four-year-old girl who the United Nations recently reported was sexually assaulted by a Russian soldier. A four-year-old child.
Barbaric and inhumane.
Long before I was Vice President of the United States, I spent the majority of my career as a prosecutor, beginning as a young lawyer in the courtroom and later running the California Department of Justice. I know firsthand the importance of gathering facts and holding them up against the law.
In the case of Russia’s actions in Ukraine, we have examined the evidence. We know the legal standards. And there is no doubt these are crimes against humanity. (Applause.)
The United States has formally determined that Russia has committed crimes against humanity.
And I say to all those who have perpetrated these crimes and to their superiors who are complicit in these crimes: You will be held to account.
In the face of these indisputable facts, to all of us here in Munich: Let us renew our commitment to accountability. Let us renew our commitment to the rule of law.
As for the United States, we will continue to support the judicial process in Ukraine and international investigations, because justice must be served.
Let us all agree, on behalf of all the victims, both known and unknown, justice must be served. Such is our moral interest.
We also have a significant strategic interest. The fight in Ukraine has far-reaching global ramifications.
No nation is safe in a world where one country can violate the sovereignty and territorial integrity of another — (applause) — where crimes against humanity are committed with impunity; where a country with imperialist ambitions can go unchecked.

WATCH: Never-Trumper On MSNBC Attacks Nikki Haley As Just Another In Line of Republican ‘Tokens’
Senior Adviser to Never-Trump group The Lincoln Project Tara Setmayer attacked former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley as just another in a long line of Republican “tokens” over her campaign launch video and speech.
Haley announced her candidacy for president Tuesday with a bio-heavy campaign video that noted Haley’s upbringing in a segregated city by Indian immigrant parents, while also criticizing her political opponents for their focus on racial issues.
On Saturday’s edition of MSNBC’s Alex Witt Reports, host Alex Witt asked Setmayer to comment on an NBC News article entitled “Nikki Haley’s campaign opened with an appeal to race. Some Indian Americans say it won’t work.”
Setmayer compared Haley to other Republican “tokens” who are used “to deflect away from policies and positions that are actually exclusive of those communities” — and named Ben Carson and Herschel Walker:
ALEX WITT: There’s a new NBC column that says Nikki Haley’s campaign opened with an appeal to race. Some Indian-Americans are saying it won’t work. The executive director of the API, Victory Alliance, told NBC “I think people can see through her much better now than ever before so she can try to talk about her immigrant background. I think it’s going to fall flat.” Do you agree with that? I mean, and if so, why won’t that work for her?
TARA SETMAYER: Well, I mean, I can’t speak on behalf of the Indian-American community because I’m not part of that. But I can see where the comparisons would be to where oftentimes Republicans will try to use immigrants or minorities as tokens to try to deflect away from policies and positions that are actually exclusive of those communities. And Nikki Haley is no different than a lot of the rest of them.
And it’s the same thing with the Ben Carsons of the world or or the Herschel Walkers, where they think all if they just put a black candidate up there to say, oh, there’s no more racism, that white people go, “Yeah, see, that’s okay, we’re not racist anymore. Because the Black guy said, there is no more racism.”
You know, it’s just it’s really incredulous and quite transparent. And when Nikki Haley says that, oh, you know, she grew up on the other side of the tracks and how the tracks divided the community. Who the hell does she think put the tracks there? There’s no racism in America? I guess the tracks showed up through immaculate construction.
I mean, it’s it’s an asinine position and very transparent. So I think people will see right through it because she’s actually not very good at this.
ALEX WITT: Hmm. Interesting.
