‘Make America Moral Again’: Joe Biden Rejects Trump’s ‘God-Awful Deliberate Division’ on GMA
Former Vice President Joe Biden reaffirmed on Tuesday that he will be running his 2020 presidential campaign under the guiding principle of returning America to its better nature.
Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, spoke to ABC News’ Robin Roberts ahead of his first campaign rally, during which, he was asked about his handling of the Anita Hill hearings. The hearings have became a renewed topic of interest with Biden’s 2020 run, and so, he was asked how he felt about Hill rejecting his attempt to apologize.
“I was grateful she took the call,” Biden said “I believed her from the very beginning, but I was chairman. She did not get a fair hearing. She did not get treated well. That’s my responsibility.”
Biden also fielded inquiries about his questionable conduct among women again, during which, Mrs. Biden defended her husband’s affectionate nature while acknowledging the need for him to be more conscientious. She also recalled her own experiences in dealing with men who acted inappropriately in her presence.
“There was a time when women were afraid to speak out and I can remember specifically it was in a job interview…so that’s where we’ve moved from. Now if that same thing happened today I’d turn around and say what do you think you’re doing, so I think it’s totally different.”
When asked if he has an answer to President Donald Trump‘s “Make America Great Again” motto, Biden offered “Make America Moral Again.”
Make America return to the essence of who we are, the dignity of the country, the dignity and treating our people with dignity and this God-awful deliberate division that’s being taken in order to separate people to aggrandize his own power.

Maggie Haberman: Trump’s Attacks Are Elevating Joe Biden Into a One on One Race Between the Two of Them
New York Times’ Maggie Haberman appeared on CNN New Day Tuesday morning and provided her unique insights into President Donald Trump’s recent Twitter attacks against the sudden poll leader of Democratic presidential candidates, former Vice President Joe Biden.
A new CNN poll released Tuesday morning shows Biden with a surprisingly commanding lead among Democratic hopefuls, with a stunning 39% of likely voters in a Democratic primary choosing him as their favorite, over 18% for his closest rival Bernie Sanders.
Haberman is as well-connected to the inner workings of the Trump administration as any reporter so her insights carry more weight than most. In her esteem, there is mixed sentiment amongst Trump’s advisors on whether his Twitter missives towards Biden are a good thing or a bad thing, but none of that matters because Trump himself is frustrated from watching the spike in Biden coverage.
“He thinks what this race needs right now is him shaping it. What he’s doing is elevating Joe Biden and basically turning this into a one-on-one between himself and Joe Biden 18 months ahead of time,” Haberman offered, adding “this is something you’d see a presidential candidate for re-election do in the summer of the election year typically. This is taking place right now. It might not end up mattering, but this is not the way veteran political operatives would handle this. ”

Joe Scarborough: Trump Has the Worst Poker Face in the History of Modern Politics; He’s Really Scared of Biden
Joe Scarborough called out President Donald Trump’s recent reaction to the formal announcement made by former Vice President Joe Biden Tuesday morning, saying that the commander in chief “has the worst poker face in the history of modern American politics,” and that Trump is really scared of a Biden campaign.
Biden has long been rumored to be running for president, but since announcing formally last week, has seen a surge of support, best evidenced by a new CNN poll released Tuesday morning that shows Biden opening a somewhat commanding lead over his Democratic rivals.
President Trump, never afraid to tweet insults at his political rivals, has reacted to Biden’s campaign in the most predictable way, with a variety of tweets designed to undermine Biden’s candidacy with a derisive nickname “Sleepy Joe” among other insults.

Joe Biden Opens Commanding Lead Among Democratic Candidates in New CNN Poll
A new CNN poll of Democratic candidates running for president shows former Vice President Joe Biden opening up a sizable lead amongst fellow democratic candidates. Notably, this is the first poll taken entirely after Biden formally announced his candidacy, and his 24 point lead over his next closest rival, can only be considered terrific news for the Biden campaign.
Biden has long been considered one of the favorites to win the nomination, and his formal announcement last week appears to have worked in his favor, as 39% of those polled chose him as their favorite candidate. Last month, Biden’s numbers came in 11 points lower at 28%.
Second in this polling is Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders at 18% while Senator Elizabeth Warren holds the slimmest of leads at 8% among fellow candidates within one or two points that include South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg at 7%, Beto O’Rourke at 6% and Senator Kamala Harris at 5%.
