Trump Tries to Distance Himself: Michael Cohen ‘Did Bad Things Unrelated to Trump’
President Donald Trump may currently be in Hanoi, Vietnam preparing for his second summit with North Korean leader Kim Jung Un, but the public testimony of his former attorney Michael Cohen is still very much on his mind.
We know this because of a very early 4 AM tweet (EST) in which the commander in chief preemptively dismissed the role that Cohen played in both the Trump Organization and the Trump Campaign. Trump said via Twitter:
Michael Cohen was one of many lawyers who represented me (unfortunately). He had other clients also. He was just disbarred by the State Supreme Court for lying & fraud. He did bad things unrelated to Trump. He is lying in order to reduce his prison time. Using Crooked’s lawyer!

While Trump prepared for his historic summit with Kim, a 20-page prepared testimony of Michael Cohen was released that reportedly revealed many explosive details including the possession of evidence that Trump committed crimes while sitting in the nation’s highest office and allegations that Trump was well aware of the Wikileaks dump of information damaging to the Hillary Clinton campaign.
