Trump’s Cohen Talk Sounds Like a Guy in an Orange Jumpsuit ‘Explaining Why They Got Done Wrong’
On Thursday night, CNN host Chris Cuomo said that President Donald Trump‘s latest explanation about why he hired Michael Cohen sounded like a prisoner explaining why he “got done wrong.”
Cuomo started off by playing a clip of Trump saying he hired his former fixer — who entered in a plea deal on Thursday — because he did him a favor long ago.
He then said Trump’s “favor” story is a bluff.
“He brought him in because he was loyal as hell and he worked his ass off,” Cuomo said, noting Cohen did Trump’s bidding for a long time.
He continued on: “Even that notion, ‘hey, he did me a favor, so I gave him a job. He’s weak. If you don’t admit to a lie, then you’re strong. If you turn with the government, then you’re a rat.’ — This is not the way a high elected official is supposed to talk.”
Cuomo then said rather than sounding like it comes from the president of the United States, “it is the way guys talk to me when they are wearing orange jumpsuits and explaining why they got done wrong.”
After laughing, Don Lemon — who had joined Cuomo for the segment — pointed out that he doesn’t know anyone who “is not good at their job and they keep a job for over a decade as a favor.”

Caller Rips Into Rush Limbaugh for Nearly 8 Minutes Straight: ‘You’re an Imbecile, You’re an Idiot, You’re a Jack*ss’
A caller named Geno was not at all happy with Rush Limbaugh and he let him know it for nearly 8 minutes straight.
And it was all because Limbaugh told his audience to be “problem solvers.”
“Rush, I’m very disappointed in you and in fact, quite honestly, I’m angry with you because of what you told that lady two days ago and what you told the other call today earlier today in the program,” Geno from the Bronx said. ” You’re advising us, your loyal audience for 30 years, that have stood by you and that have made you the ‘Moses of conservatism.’ You are now telling us that we should call ourselves ‘problem solvers’ rather than conservatives so that we can try to get the political power that we need.”
Geno was just getting warmed up.
“You’re an imbecile, you’re an idiot, you’re a jackass and you’re gonna help destroy our country from within, if we listen to the crap that you’re trying to tell us,” he said before insisting that there was no such thing as being transgender or “37 different flavors of sexism.”
At one point, Limbaugh tried to defend himself.
“You have drawn a whole lot of conclusions here that are nowhere near true,” Limbaugh said, not helping to defuse the situation at all. “I have not backed down from anything. I’ve never backed down from anything. I’m not advocating that you back down. I’m not telling you to stop talking about them the way you want to talk about them. I’m not telling you not to get in their face and if you think they’re a bunch of reprobate rats, tell ’em so. That’s all. I’m just talking about the label. I’m not telling you to not be conservative, Geno.”
Things just got more heated from there as talk veered into Bronx Bolsheviks, liberal maggots, Johnny Carson and why Limbaugh was so, so wrong.

Facebook Confirms Chief Operating Officer Told Staffers to Research George Soros’ Financials
Facebook has confirmed that Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg told staffers to research George Soros‘ financial activity.
Politico reported the confirmation late Thursday night.
According to Politico:
Sandberg “sent an email asking if Mr. Soros had shorted Facebook’s stock” while the company was researching the motivations behind the philanthropist’s criticisms of Silicon Valley, a Facebook spokesperson said in a statement provided to POLITICO.
Earlier today The New York Times reported Sandberg had been prompted into action after Soros criticized tech companies.
From the NYT report:
Ms. Sandberg — who was at the forum, but was not present for Mr. Soros’s speech, according to a person who attended it — asked for an examination into why Mr. Soros had criticized the tech companies and whether he stood to gain financially from the attacks. At the time, Facebook was under growing scrutiny for the role its platform had played in disseminating Russian propaganda and fomenting campaigns of hatred in Myanmar and other countries.
Sandberg was recently in the news after it was revealed — and she later admitted — that she hired a firm to spread negative stories about the tech company’s critics, including linking them to Soros.

Don Lemon Loses It Over Old Clip of Manafort Lying on Live TV: ‘That Was Really, Really Awkward!’
Following Michael Cohen‘s admission that President Donald Trump was engaged in talks as recent as June 2016 about the possibility of building Trump Tower Moscow, CNN’s Don Lemon was in stitches during his Thursday night broadcast while airing a montage of clips of claiming the commander in chief has no financial ties to Russia.
“It was not a very public deal and it certainly was not public while Donald Trump was running for president, and that is because Trump never mentioned it,” Lemon pointed out, referring to what’s been dubbed the Moscow project. Lemon emphasized that “despite question after question about any involvement with Russia,” Trump claimed he had “zero investments in Russia.”
Lemon then proceeded to play footage of the numerous instances in which the president contended that he had “nothing to do with Russia,” ending with a clip of former campaign chair Paul Manafort backing him up.
Asked by CBS News’ Norah O’Donnell in the 2016 clip whether Trump has “financial relationships with any Russian oligarchs,” Manafort gave a bumbling response.
“That’s what he said — that’s what — that’s obviously what the — our position is.”
Giggling, Lemon called the moment “just a little awkward,” playing it a second time.
“That was really, really awkward!” Lemon said after it aired again. “I still have no idea what he said there but doesn’t that just sum all of this up, the whole day, just all of it?”
“But as we always say around here, facts matter and as more facts emerge from the Mueller investigation, the real question is what will this president do?”

Norm Eisen Says Michael Cohen ‘Much More Dangerous’ After Coming Clean: He ‘Knows Where the Bodies Are Buried’
Michael Cohen may be clearing his conscience with a new plea deal. However, his answers about President Donald Trump‘s dealings with Russia, according to former White House Ethics Czar Norm Eisen, may spell trouble for the commander in chief.
During a Thursday evening appearance on CNN, Eisen told host Chris Cuomo that the longtime fixer’s flip could prove damning for his old boss.
“You have somebody who’s in Trump’s innermost circle for so long, Chris, who’s known as his fixer, who knows where the bodies are buried, who’s stepping up and admitting that he lied to Congress to cover up the continued business dealings between Donald Trump and the Trump organization during the campaign when Trump had already clinched the nomination,” Eisen said.
The crucial questions, he noted, now surround Cohen’s motivation to lie in the first place and place his own self in the line of legal fire. Now that he’s supposedly being honest and cooperating with Special Counsel Robert Mueller‘s investigation for dozens of hours, Eisen feels he’s a bigger threat than before.
“He’s a much more dangerous witness.”

Trump After Dershowitz’s Appearance on Hannity: ‘Mueller Refuses to Look at the Real Crimes’
Speaking to Sean Hannity on Thursday, legal scholar Alan Dershowitz insisted that Special Counsel Robert Mueller has gone beyond looking for crimes and is now looking for “political sin.”
Dershowitz’s response came after the Fox News host asked this: “I interviewed [Julian] Assange. He said he didn’t get it from Russia. No state party etc… Maybe, we know Hillary’s computer is in the bathroom closet were hacked by at least six foreign intelligence services if not more. So my question to you is, based on that…If they didn’t hack and it was given to them from sources doesn’t it mean that what they printed is legal?”
Dershowitz replied, “Absolutely.”
He added: “The president has the same authority and the president’s campaign has the same authority as The New York Times and Washington Post. They are allowed to print material that they know was stolen as long as they didn’t tell the people to steal it or give them directions how to hack. Nobody alleges that of the president’s campaign. Therefore, they have completely the right to do it.”
Then pointing fingers at Mueller, Dershowitz opined: “The problem is Mueller is straying away from his mandate to find crime and he is now looking for political sin. Building buildings in Moscow, using stolen material from Assange. These are not crimes. He has no authority to be a roving commissioner to find political sins. So far, I don’t see any evidence of crimes except for ones that he helped to facilitate by getting people to lie in front of his own investigators.”
Shortly after the Hannity segment aired. Trump tweeted about it.
“This is an illegal Hoax that should be ended immediately. Mueller refuses to look at the real crimes on the other side. Where is the IG REPORT?” Trump wrote after quoting what Dershowitz said to Hannity.
Alan Dershowitz: “These are not crimes. He (Mueller) has no authority to be a roving Commissioner. I don’t see any evidence of crimes.” This is an illegal Hoax that should be ended immediately. Mueller refuses to look at the real crimes on the other side. Where is the IG REPORT?
