Tucker Carlson Accuses Trump of Caving to Mark Levin’s ‘Dominance’: ‘A Form of Sadomasochism’
Tucker Carlson accused President Donald Trump of getting pushed around by Fox News host Mark Levin, with Carlson arguing Levin pulled a “dominance move” when he put the president in a “headlock” at a “Jewish-themed White House event.”
Carlson was referring to when Levin put his arm around Trump and proclaimed he was the “first Jewish president” at a Hanukkah celebration at the White House in December. On the Wednesday episode of The Tucker Carlson Show, the former Fox News star said the whole thing was revolting — and implied there was something more sinister going on.
“Levin comes over and puts his arm around the president’s neck and pulls him in. Now, I know Trump well, I mean I wouldn’t like that, and I’m not even the president or a germaphobe,” Carlson said. “What is that?”
He continued, “And under normal circumstances, Trump would never put up with that. You’re doing the dominance move over the president of the United States, are you kidding?”

His guest, comic-turned-political pundit Dave Smith, was just as shocked.
“Over Donald Trump! Not just the president, Donald Trump. The most dominant alpha male guy who does that to other people,” Smith said.
Smith said a moment later, “To do that to Donald Trump — I’m not trying to make too much of a little thing — and then proclaims him the first Jewish president, [it was] very strange.”
Carlson assured him it was not a “little thing.”
“You gotta think that — Trump never said this to me, but just knowing him, you’ve got to think he’s filled with rage with someone doing that to him,” Carlson said. “But he puts up with it anyway.”
He continued:
If you want to exert power over someone whose powerful, there’s a way to do it. But the last way to do it is be like ‘I’m in charge here, just so you know, I’m more powerful than the president of the United States. That’s what Levin is saying and Trump is putting up with it.
This is either a form of sadomasochism, but it also reveals like the true architecture of power.
Carlson’s comments come after he has criticized the war against Iran. He called the joint U.S. and Israeli strikes that killed Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei “absolutely disgusting and evil” and argued the war was being “waged” strictly on behalf of Israel — a country that Carlson has been fixated on lately.
Trump responded by booting Carlson from his Make America Great Again movement. The president has also scoffed at critics who have said Israel forced him to attack Iran.
“If anything, I might’ve forced Israel’s hand,” Trump said last month.
And while his relationship with Carlson has soured, Trump and Levin seem to be getting along better than ever. Trump defended Levin in his feud with Megyn Kelly recently, and last weekend he told his followers to watch Levin’s Fox News show, where Levin made the case for sending troops into Iran.
