Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was confronted for a report his department published that included numerous fake sources.

The report — titled the “MAHA Report” and published by the Make America Healthy Again Commission — cited more than 500 studies as the basis for Kennedy’s health agenda. Upon closer inspection, however, it was discovered that at least seven of those studies didn’t actually exist. In fact, the scientists involved in those alleged studies even came out to confirm that the studies had never taken place.

During a House hearing on Tuesday, Rep. Raul Ruiz (D-CA) grilled Kennedy and his defense of the report:

RUIZ: Secretary Kennedy, you’re listed as the chair of the commission. Did you read the report and fact-check its sources prior to publication?

KENNEDY: All of the facts of this–

RUIZ: Did you read the reports and did you yourself fact-check them, sir?

KENNEDY: I did not fact-check them.

RUIZ: You did not fact-check. Why then, as has–

KENNEDY: All of the foundational assertions–

RUIZ: Excuse me, sir, I’m speaking. Why, then, did the report include a citation to sources that don’t even exist? How does that happen under your leadership, sir?

KENNEDY: All of the foundational assertions in that report are accurate. Some of them–

RUIZ: They did not exist. How can they be accurate if they did not exist, sir?

KENNEDY: Some of the citations–

RUIZ: You know, in fact, my understanding is that even once the report was updated, more authors and researchers came forward stating that their research was misconstrued. This is quite unbelievable, sir!

The Camera app has gotten a few useful upgrades in iOS 26. From a brand new app icon to a more convenient layout, there's a lot to check out. I've been using the new app for a couple of weeks, and here's every helpful change I've found so far.

A slick interface

I'm liking Apple's updates to the Camera app's UI. It's neater and a lot less confusing upon opening the app. At first, there are just the two options—Photo and Video—for you to choose from, which makes it really easy to jump right into action. Once you choose how you want to use your camera, you can then access additional options on the same screen, and Apple has reduced the number of times you'll have to go to your iPhone's Settings page for Camera-related tweaks, like choosing which format you want your videos to be saved in. You also have the option of swiping on the Photo or Video buttons to reveal more camera modes. However, my favorite feature is that long-pressing the name of your current camera mode reveals even more options, such as adjusting the exposure, toggling night mode, tweaking the focus, and much more.

Adjust video settings in the Camera app

Up until iOS 18, shooting videos could get frustrating pretty quickly. Most of the time, I was still fine, since I only needed to shoot in the default of 1080p in 30 fps. But when I wanted to shoot a 60 fps video, I had to start digging through my Setting app. That has changed in iOS 26. When you open the Camera app in iOS 26 and select the Video mode, you'll see video format details in the top-left corner of the screen. Tap this to quickly change the resolution and frame rate. This is an excellent feature for anyone who regularly uses their iPhone to shoot videos.

Control your camera with your AirPods

If you have an iPhone running iOS 26 that's paired with either a pair of AirPods 4 or AirPods Pro 2, you can use your headphones as a camera remote. Open the Camera app on your iPhone and press the AirPods stem to click a photo or start/stop a video recording. This is really convenient for the times when you need to take photos from an awkward angle, or when you want to take a nice photo of yourself from a distance. 

Enable camera adjustments with the Camera Control button

Many of us now have an iPhone with a Camera Control button (iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max). In iOS 26, the Camera Control button defaults to launching the camera and letting you switch from one camera mode to another. But if you want to tweak other settings while taking photos, you can now go to Settings > Camera > Camera Adjustments and enable Camera Adjustments. On this page, you can select the controls you want to access, too. These include Exposure, Depth, Zoom, Styles, and Tone.

Get a reminder to clean your camera

With iOS 26, your iPhone can also remind you to clean the camera lens when it's dirty. This feature is called Lens Cleaning Hints, and it's available on the iPhone 15 Pro and beyond (which suggests that it may be linked to AI, as those are the phones that are compatible with Apple Intelligence). When your lens is dirty, your iPhone will show a small popover notification at the top of the viewfinder, reminding you to clean it. Once that's done, the popover will disappear. 

Luckily, if that sounds annoying to you, you can toggle this feature on or off by going to Settings > Camera > Lens Cleaning Hints.

President Donald Trump’s “regime change” post stunned the political media world, but it isn’t the yuge “GOTCHA!” they’re all making it out to be.

The world was stunned Saturday night when President Donald Trump announced a series of U.S. airstrikes on nuclear sites in Iran. The strikes touched off waves of criticism and approval, as well as objections from both sides of the aisle in Congress.

Trump also raised eyebrows with a Truth Social post referencing “regime change” even as his officials tried to assure the public that overthrow is not the goal of this mission.

The president wrote, “It’s not politically correct to use the term, ‘Regime Change,’ but if the current Iranian Regime is unable to MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN, why wouldn’t there be a Regime change??? MIGA!!!”

A president merely invoking “regime change” itself is provocative, shocking even if it were anybody else, reckless even for Trump. And his comment came after the highest officials in his own administration had just gotten done assuring everyone that the United States is not trying to enact regime change.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth told reporters at a press conference that the U.S. mission in Iran was “not and has not been about regime change.”

Vice President JD Vance made the same point in an exchange on this week’s edition of NBC’s Meet the Press, and appeared to rule out assassinating Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei:

KRISTEN WELKER: As you know, after an Iranian missile struck a hospital in Israel this week, Israel’s defense minister said the Ayatollah, quote, “can no longer be allowed to exist.” Does the United States support Israel killing Iran’s leader?

VICE PRES. JD VANCE: Well, look, that’s up to the Israelis, but our view has been very clear that we don’t want a regime change. We do not want to protract this or build this out any more than it’s already been built out. We want to end their nuclear program, and then we want to talk to the Iranians about a long-term settlement here. We believe very strongly that there are two pathways: there’s a pathway where Iran continues to fund terrorism, continues to try to build a nuclear program, attacks American troops — that’s the bad pathway for Iran, and it will be met with overwhelming force.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio told Face the Nation that “this mission was a very precise mission.” It had three objectives, three nuclear sites. It was not an attack on Iran. It was not an attack on the Iranian people. This wasn’t a regime change move. This was designed to degrade and/or destroy three nuclear sites related to their nuclear weaponization ambitions.

Cable news figures seized on Trump’s post as yet another example of the president contradicting his own administration, as he did after Rubio tried to distance the U.S. from the Israeli strikes that touched off this latest conflict. CNN, in particular, played the post as a gotcha example of Trump undermining his own guys.

Now, there are lots of things to hate about how Trump is handling this whole thing. Congressmembers on both sides of the aisle have called the strikes unconstitutional, the risks of significant blowback are severe and potentially devastating, and the net effect of the strikes is still unclear. And as I said before, just name-dropping “regime change” is reckless.

But the meaning of Trump’s post was clear even before White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt explained it to the Fox & Friends  gang Monday morning:

KILMEADE: So, the President tweeted out the next day, and I agree with you, by the way, and I think most everyone watching does, says it’s not politically correct to use the term, regime change. But if the current Iranian regime is unable to make Iran great again, why wouldn’t there be a regime change? Does he think we should do that? Is he asking the Iranian people to do that? What’s he saying there?

LEAVITT: The president believes the Iranian people can control their own destiny. And what he said last night makes complete sense. If the Iranian regime refuses to come to a peaceful diplomatic solution, which the president is still interested and engaging in, by the way, why shouldn’t the Iranian people take away the power of this incredibly violent regime that has been suppressing them for decades?

And so, our posture has not changed. Our military posture has not changed. These were decisive precision strikes that were successful on Saturday evening. But the president is just simply raising a good question that many people around the world are asking.

As much as it pains me to ever agree with Leavitt, she’s spot-on here. Now, the message is quite a bit more provocative than merely asking a question — it is a full-on incitement, an incitement for Iranians to take regime change into their own hands — but it is not a contradiction of the military policy stated by his top officials.

And Trump’s post is not all that different from a declaration that then-President Joe Biden made in 2022 when he spotted a protest sign in a crowd and said, “Don’t worry. We’re gonna free Iran. They’re gonna free themselves pretty soon.”

The media seized on that one, too, but it was the result of a hard-learned lesson from his stint as VP, when President Barack Obama failed to strongly support the “Green Revolution” protest movement.

Minutes after her Fox hit, Leavitt was asked about assassinating Khamenei as she spoke briefly to reporters on her way up the White House driveway:

REPORTER: On regime change, that question of– if the president was supporting that idea of having Iran’s supreme leader assassinated, he’s now floating his idea of regime change. Is that an idea that he would consider?

TRUMP PRESS SECRETARY KAROLINE LEAVITT: I’m not going to get ahead of the president.

Trump has no public events scheduled Monday, but God only knows what he’ll say if that question gets put to him. He’s previously threatened Khamenei, writing last week that “We know exactly where the so-called “Supreme Leader” is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there – We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

So, who really cares if cable is overselling this post? That’s an excellent question, the answer is probably not that many people. But it matters. It matters because the stakes of this conflict could not be higher, and the media plays a significant role in holding Trump to account. The more time wasted criticizing something needlessly, the less time is being spent on legitimate reasons to criticize.

The best-case scenario here is that this series of attacks is a flawless strategic and political success, Iran folds up like a cheap umbrella, and nobody else has to get killed.

But that’s also sort of the worst-case scenario in that success will make it much harder to hold Trump accountable for what many agree is a grossly unconstitutional act. Trump‘s critics, myself included, are complete in their certainty that launching these strikes without congressional approval was completely unconstitutional and lawless. But as the last few years have shown us, this Supreme Court, or at least the six pro-Trump justices, have shown a fervent willingness to radically rewrite the law in favor of presidential power, and Congress has given them ammunition for nearly a quarter century since the attacks of 9/11.

The worst-case scenarios for blowback are staggering to contemplate. Proxy attacks on U.S. forces in the region, terrorist attacks by sleeper cells in the United States, more assassination attempts against our head of state, descent into a Middle East shooting war, and even nuclear war are just a few of the things on the menu. All the more reason extra attention should be paid to strengthening checks and balances on the president’s war powers, rather than hyping a fake “gotcha!”

I've been an avid rider of my regular Peloton Bike for four years now and never really considered upgrading to the Bike+ because of the cost and because I wasn't quite sure whether it would have features that made it significantly better than what I already had. To my surprise, when I began testing the Bike+ to review, there were a few tweaks and features that jumped out to me right away. It'll take me some more time riding and exploring the machine before I write my final comparison and review, but these are the surprising differences I noticed immediately.

The Bike+ has better sound quality

One of the first major differences I noticed was in the sound output. To be clear, I've never had any issue with the sound that comes out of my Bike, whether I'm following along with the verbal cues in a class or playing a music-focused game of Lanebreak. Still, you don't know what you're missing until you experience something different, which is what happened here. The speakers on the regular Bike are rear-facing and use 16 watts of power while the ones on the Bike+ are back- and front-facing and use 26 watts, and they have woofers. In general, this makes for a more immersive audio experience.

The volume buttons on the Bike+ are easier to reach

Both the Bike and Bike+ have volume buttons on the side of the touchscreen, and you can reach up with your right hand to adjust them pretty easily. The volume buttons on the Bike are a little farther back behind the screen; I have to feel around for them. The buttons on the Bike+ are right at the screen's edge and are larger, so I was able to access them more easily.

The Bike+ feels a little bigger

Overall, these both take up roughly the same amount of space in your home: The Bike footprint is 59" by 23" and the Bike+ footprint is 59" by 22". Both require a ceiling clearance height of eight feet. The Bike weighs around 135 pounds and the Bike+ weighs about 140 pounds. Their size is so similar that I didn't feel any difference when riding.

And yet, the Bike+ felt bigger somehow. I couldn't initially figure out why, but then I realize it was because it is a little sleeker and more sophisticated-looking. The logo on the side is written in raised silver decals that look sharper compared to the flat, white "Peloton" branding on the Bike, which also includes a red Peloton icon logo. The knobs used to change settings like seat height and distance from the screen are also much more unobtrusive than on the Bike (more on this in a moment), which makes the experience of riding feel a little roomier. On my Bike, I regularly bang my leg into the knob that controls how high or low my seat is, which makes me feel cramped. Not a problem on the Bike+, which has a more compact, hidden knob.

The screen on the Bike+ is also bigger. On the Bike, the screen is 21.5" across; on the Bike+ it's 23.8". This might seem like a small difference, but it's actually pretty noticeable; the screen felt a lot more expansive.

The Bike+ screen is just better overall

I knew before my Bike+ arrived that the screen was going to be bigger, but I didn't know what a difference it would make for my experience. I also knew that the screen on the Bike+ rotates, while the Bike screen doesn't. (The Bike screen can tilt up and down, however.) Because I have my Peloton app linked up to my Roku, I don't really feel the need to spin the screen around so I can follow along with meditation, stretching, yoga, or strength classes, but I do appreciate that it's possible.

I also found the Bike+ screen was just a tad more responsive and fast. I wouldn't go so far as to say my Bike screen lags or causes me any issues, but it is four years old and that's sort of the nature of aging tech. I don't mind the response speed on my Bike at all, but I did notice it was slower than what I experienced with the Bike+. But the specs on the screens are largely the same—1080 p, HD—so I don't know that I'd classify this as an upgrade the Bike+ has over the Bike. Over time, it's likely the Bike+'s screen could slow down, just like mine apparently did without me noticing.

The settings are different

I have a hard time moving my seat up and down on my Bike. The telescopic pole sticks, and the handle I have to loosen to adjust it also sticks and is hard to maneuver. Moving the seat on the Bike back and forth on the horizontal plane is also a major feat for me. I have not even attempted it since the day I got the machine, although as a spin teacher, I know how crucial perfect bike setup actually is. Still, the long, cumbersome, stubborn handle on my Bike is hard to turn and the seat is almost impossible to slide back and forth along its track.

This is not true on the Bike+. Turning the knob and moving the seat up and down were a breeze because the tracks were clear and the handle was small and easy to turn. I was able to fiddle with them until I had them just right. None of the knobs stick out very far on the Bike+, so you never bang your legs on them or get your pants stuck in them. It was easy to move the screen up and down, too. In the picture below, the Bike+ is on the left and the Bike is on the right. Notice how much smaller and simpler the knobs on the Bike+ are. Also notice that the weight holsters on the Bike are made of wire, and on the Bike+, they're made of plastic. I do find it a little tricky to yank my weights out of the wire cage, but it's not a major issue for me. Still, the more accessible, open-faced plastic holders are a nice touch.

Again, could my trouble adjusting my bike settings have less to do with the superiority of the Bike+ than the age and maintenance of my Bike? Absolutely! With some WD40, I am sure I could make the physical adjustment knobs on my Bike work better. But I will say I've always struggled with this, ever since the day I got my Bike in 2021, so I do think this is an advantage the Bike+ has. I'm grateful for it, too: I had the Bike+ delivered to my boyfriend's house so we could test features like taking classes together (and because I barely have enough space for one Peloton, let alone two, in my apartment). He's a whole foot taller than I am, so his bike adjustments are much different than mine. The ease of customizing seat height, screen height, and seat closeness on the Bike+ makes it more ideal for households with multiple riders.

Thoughts on the immediate differences in the Bike and Bike+

Like I said, I'm going to continue testing the Bike+ before I form a formal opinion on whether it's worth the additional $1,000 or so compared to the Bike and little differences like more accessible volume control and easier seat adjustments may not add up to that conclusion. What I can say right now is that these differences were immediately apparent to me as someone who has spent years on the regular Bike, and if you're looking to upgrade, they could be deciding factors. I particularly appreciate the bigger, faster screen and the simple adjustment knobs.

If you are thinking of upgrading from an existing Bike, consider selling it on Peloton's own resale website, which will get you cash plus a few hundred dollars off your future Peloton purchase. You can also sell a Bike or any other brand of at-home fitness equipment on other online marketplaces, like TradeMyStuff, if you need to get cash and free up some space before considering the Bike+.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) — who has been a vocal critic against U.S. military intervention in Iran — is insisting she’s not showing “disloyalty” to President Donald Trump.

In a lengthy post on X Sunday afternoon, the Georgia congresswoman went off about the attack on three Iranian nuclear sites — but insisted she remains a staunch supporter of Trump’s.

Here is what she said about the conflict:

“Neocon warmongers beat their drums of war and act like Billy badasses going to war in countries most Americans have never seen and can’t find on a map, but never find the courage to go to war against the actual terrorists who actually do kill Americans, invade our land, and make BILLIONS doing it day after day, year after year.

“I’m 51 years old. I’m GenX.

“I’ve watched our country go to war in foreign lands for foreign causes on behalf of foreign interests for as long as I can remember. I was in 10th grade when Desert Storm started and my father before me was sent to Vietnam, another senseless foreign war.

“America is $37 TRILLION in debt and all of these foreign wars have cost Americans TRILLIONS AND TRILLIONS of dollars that never benefited any American.

“American troops have been killed and forever torn apart physically and mentally for regime change, foreign wars, and for military industrial base profits.

“I’m sick of it.”

But the congresswoman added this, about her overall support of Donald Trump:

“I can also support President Trump and his great administration on many of the great things they are doing while disagreeing on bombing Iran and getting involved in a hot war that Israel started.

“That’s not disloyalty. Critical thinking and having my own opinions is the most American thing ever.

“Because contrary to what brainwashed Democrat boomers say, Trump is not a king, MAGA is not a cult, and President Trump has surrounded himself with people who once disagreed with him and even ran against him for President.

Still, Trump is taking aim at one of his critics within the Republican ranks. In a Truth Social post, the president blasted Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) for sounding off against the U.S. strike.

“He’s a simple minded ‘grandstander’ who thinks it’s good politics for Iran to have the highest level Nuclear weapon, while at the same time yelling ‘DEATH TO AMERICA’ at every chance they get,” Trump wrote.

An MSNBC host lauded the U.S. military strike on Iran immediately after a press conference in which Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth shared some of the operational details.

Speaking on MSNBC’s The Weekend just after Sunday morning’s news conference at the Pentagon wrapped up, host Jonathan Capehart saluted the military’s planning and execution on the strike.

“The level of secrecy of this mission,” Capehart said. “The fact that you had planes that flew from the continental United States, from Missouri and flew for I think he said 18 hours with multiple refueling in the air. … The execution of this massive, massive plan involving the U.S. Military — seemingly in multiple theaters. You know, this decoy you were talking about went to the Pacific to take away from what was happening the other way.

He added, “No Iranian planes flew, and no shots were fired at any of the US military jets. All of that, to me, is just — from what they’re telling us — is rather impressive.”

The positive sentiment about the President Donald Trump-ordered operation was echoed by MSNBC’s military analyst — retired Lt. Gen. Stephen Twitty.

“Let me just say that I’m proud of our U.S. service members this morning,” Twitty said. “As you heard the Secretary of Defense … say, this was a highly complex mission, and I absolutely agree… If you think about — as you were describing, Jonathan — the distance alone, and then the decoy, and oh, by the way, the linkup between all services once they hit in theater to be able to make this happen with precision. It is absolutely professionalism and skill by our U.S. service members. So hats off to them.”

President Donald Trump blasted a House Republican who criticized the U.S. military strike on Iran and announced plans to campaign “really hard” to oust him from Congress.

In a post on Truth Social Sunday, the president went after Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) for coming out against the attack.

“Congressman Thomas Massie of Kentucky is not MAGA, even though he likes to say he is,” Trump wrote. “Actually, MAGA doesn’t want him, doesn’t know him, and doesn’t respect him. He is a negative force who almost always Votes ‘NO,’ no matter how good something may be. He’s a simple minded ‘grandstander’ who thinks it’s good politics for Iran to have the highest level Nuclear weapon, while at the same time yelling ‘DEATH TO AMERICA’ at every chance they get.”

Immediately after the strike, Massie — in a post on X — denounced the attack as “not Constitutional.” In a Sunday morning interview on CBS’s Face the Nation, the Kentucky congressman went even further criticizing the president.

“It was a good week for the neocons in the military industrial complex who want war all the time,” Massie said. He added, “What happens when Israel gets bombed again? Is Trump going to sit by and say, no, we’re not going to further engage in this war?”

Trump made clear he plans to do everything in his power to see that Massie is defeated in the 2026 Republican primary.

“MAGA should drop this pathetic LOSER, Tom Massie, like the plague!” Trump wrote. “The good news is that we will have a wonderful American Patriot running against him in the Republican Primary, and I’ll be out in Kentucky campaigning really hard. MAGA is not about lazy, grandstanding, nonproductive politicians, of which Thomas Massie is definitely one.”

Ironically, just a short time before the lengthy message denouncing Massie, Trump waxed poetic about what he called “great unity” in the Republican party.

“Great unity in the Republican Party, perhaps unity like we have never seen before,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Now let’s get the Great, Big, Beautiful Bill done.”
