White House senior advisor Jared Kushner spoke with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham tonight about issues in his father-in-law’s administration following the White House criminal justice reform event today.
Ingraham brought up the whistleblower who spoke to the House Oversight Committee who raised concerns about the security clearance process and how a number of clearances were signed off on despite some issues.
“The left is going crazy about this security clearance issue,” Ingraham said.
“I can’t comment for the White House’s process, but what I can say is that over the last two years that I’ve been here, I’ve been accused of all different types of things. All of those things have turned out to be false,” he responded, before bringing up “a lot of crazy accusations that we colluded with Russia.”
Ingraham amusedly asked if he poses a “grave national security concern” to the country. Kushner just praised the “phenomenal people” he works with.
Ingraham said it looks like Democrats are “moving the goalposts” after the Mueller investigation.
Kushner responded by saying there’s a difference between what the American people care about and what Washington and the media care about.
There’s been particular scrutiny over Kushner’s security clearance in recent months. The New York Times recently reported Trump ordered that Kushner get a top-secret security clearance, “overruling concerns flagged by intelligence officials and the White House’s top lawyer.”
