New York Times columnist Paul Krugman — a Nobel Laureate in economics — is calling out CNN for booking pro-Trump economist Stephen Moore, claiming he’s been “caught many times” making factual errors.

In a Wednesday morning tweet, Krugman blasted CNN for labeling Moore — an informal adviser to President Donald Trump — a “top economist.”

“Moore has been caught this way many times,” Krugman wrote. “No matter: CNN says he’s a “top economist”, and will keep booking him.”

Krugman specifically took issue with a Moore segment from last Friday. While bashing the Fed for hiking interest rates, Moore falsely claimed that the U.S. economy is experiencing “deflation.”
